HOW TO TURN OFF SPLASH SCREEN FROM PORTABLE APPLICATION |

One of the most annoying things |
|
about portable applications is their |
|
splash screen which greets you |
|
every time you open one of them! If |
|
you can not stand all this, I have got |
|
a nice hack which will let you turn |
|
off and get rid of the hated splash |
|
screen in a matter for seconds, for |
|
good! |
|
1. Click Start. |
|
2. In the Search Field, type Computer |
|
and press Enter. |
|
3. Now, double click the USB drive |
|
which contains the portable |
|
application. (It is labeled |
|
� Removable Disk�) |
|
4. Now browse to the following |
|
location: PortableApps |
|
\Your_Portable_Application\Other |
|
\Source |
|
5. In this folder you will find a special |
|
icon which has got .ini extension. |
|
Right-click it and Open it with your |
|
Notepad. |
|
6. The txt file will show you a lot of |
|
incomprehensible commands. |
|
7. Locate DisableSplashScreen=False. |
|
This command manages the splash |
|
screen of the portable application. |
|
8. Simply change False to True and the |
|
Splash screen will disappear next |
|
time you open the app! |
|
9. Save the file with the new change. |
|
10. Right-click it and copy the file. |
|
11. Now go to the following directory |
|
(folder): PortableApps |
|
\Your_Portable_Application and |
|
paste the .ini file right there! |
