Is Global Warming really happening? Or is it all some kind of a
"hoax"??

Sometimes naysayers say that global warming is really all a big
hoax, like some sort of conspiracy theory :O
I mean who's to say global warming isn't normal? Was looking at
this article and it set off some thoughts

There is some ice melting, but i doubt it;s as bad as they say.
They hype it up to make it sound worse than it is. As the earth
undergoes her warming phase, melting is normal. After the
warming phase, she will go back into her cooling phase. Global
warming is actually being used to tax and imprison us.
Politicians tend to say that if we make changes now, we won't
have an earth to live on in time. These are scare tactics and it
has worked. Now the people look to the politicians to save them.
Its all under the guise of safety and protecting us. Also
remember that the Bible says there will be signs in earth in the
end days, and other things about the weather being messed up,
but it has nothing to do with Global warming.

I really highly doubt that global warming is a hoax with the
government having an ingenious plan of controlling us through
such fear. While it is true that such phenomena (heating and
cooling) are true, the rapid increase in temperature in the last
century or so is certainly not merely a natural change. If this
increase is indeed cyclical then the climate 1000 or 2000 years
ago must have been critically different, which would also mean
certain areas in South East Asia would have had snow and the
vegetation would have been completely different. As far as i
know, there is no historical evidence of this being the case.

Highly doubt its a hoak though i would hope it was one.
People in kiribati and tuvalu run the imminent risk of ceasing
to have an idenitfiable territory which could potentially render
them stateless. Those countries will cease to exist with the
rising water levels. see

Hello!
I really doubt it's a hoax, primarily because climate change is
a natural thing. From the ice ages, till now, the climate has
evolved. I think the 'hoax' aspect of it just comes in in terms
of how drastic climate change right now is. Maybe it isn't
happening as fast as corporations and Al Gore say, but I'm
pretty sure global warming is happening.
I guess even if isn't happening very quickly, measures taken to
slow down global warming are largely geared at saving the
environment as a whole and not just at global warming e.g.
carrying paper not plastic bags, so partaking in these efforts
is never really a waste of time.

global warming is NOT a hoax. it's just that when scientists
throw in data and evidence they collected, the public sometimes
interpret that data on their own, resulting in an
over-reaction/under-reaction to global warming that might
distort the reality of the situation. this would in turn cause
confusion amongst many. and in some cases, this confusion could
lead to denial.
in addition to that, some political parties are advocating that
it is a hoax just so that energy industries can continue to
generate economy in those countries. there even are people who
anonymously fund lobbyists to support this agenda. so really
check your source out first.
global warming is very real.

Our world is definitely changing, and the signs are there for
all to see. The most obvious is in coral reefs, as corals are
extremely sensitive organisms. 1 to 2 degree changes in the
water and these corals could die, turning a bleached white.
Although we may be skeptical of the authorities who are
informing us about said global warming and their respective
hidden agendas, we need to acknowledge that we are not the only
species on the planet. We may not be suffering yet, with our
air-conditioning and all sorts to shelter us from the problem,
but animals and other organisms out there are already feeling
the pinch. And with a huge biological chain in mother nature,
their sufferings will eventually become our problem when we face
things like less fish etc. on our planet. We will not be able to
sustain ourselves. The threat of global warming is real, the
only thing to question is how long we have till the worst can
happen to us.

i really don't think it's some kinda hoax. there are many
evidences found that shows that this is really happening. i came
across this site that's extremely informative about this,
perhaps those of you who have the time and are really interested

global warming is far from a hoax, we can see for ourselves how
changes in temperature and onslaught of natural disasters have
come at a much more drastic rate than it was predicted to. just
within the past 5 years there have been massive floods in sydney
(i remember because i was in perth, and i realised i had planned
to go to sydney and would have gotten caught in the storm),
philippines (again i remember because my friend was supposed to
do some overseas CIP work, but it was cancelled), and also in
indonesia amongst several other cities/countries. these
disasters are very real, and far from constructs that the media
or celebrities can be accused of lobbying for/against.
