PS3 no picture no sound ? |

|
my brother in laws ps3 turns on ,green light is on but no |
|
picture or sound doesnt even take you to the menu screen. ps3 is |
|
a 120g fatty and is out of warrenty. |
|
tried all suggestions of the inter net but nothing seems to work |
|
not even holding down the power button and waiting for th 2 |
|
bleeps(the system just turns off after 10 secs lol). |
|
any ideas any one ? ??? |

Guessing it's connected by HDMI? |
|
Remove cable from both TV and PS3 and make sure it looks ok. |
|
Plug back in and then turn it on. If this doesn't bring up the |
|
message saying it's detected the cable and is going to |
|
changebthe screen settings, then try again. |
|
If this still doesn't work would it be possible to temporarily |
|
plug the component cable in that comes with a new PS3? This |
|
should definitely change screen settings. Then repeat with HDMI |
|
cable. |

With the power off, press and hold the power button and wait for |
|
a single beep, then let go. |
|
This should reset the display settings and allow you to reset |
|
the HDMI, if this doesn't work it could be a faulty HDMI lead or |
|
port. |

done both of the above and still no joy >:( , wont even let me |
|
reset it when i press power button it just turns on and then |
|
after about ten seconds it turns off again |
