Gaming Mags

Before the internet we used to rely on print for our gaming
news. So what mags did you buy?
For me in my speccy days it was a subby to Crash and occasional
Your Sinclair or Sinclair User dependant on what games they had
on the front.
As I moved into the console era it was CVG and the awesome Mean
Machines.
Slowly though multi mormat mags seemed to die out so I used to
get Super Play and NMS (nintendo magazine system).
Got a few Gamesmaster mags and some cool cdi mags now.
Now I buy Retrogamer mag and occasionally Games TM.
So, like I say what mags did you buy, memories and what are you
still collecting?

I never really got any mags as a youngster. But did get Games
Master a few times, not every issue though.
Since being an adult (although that is debatable!!) I would buy
CVG every month, because I'm not faithful to one system. I found
it very good, giving me a nice insight into the games I liked,
on all formats!!
Once that disappeared I went onto Games Master, its more
juvenile but an easy read for multi-fomat people. I also buy
360Gamer every 3 weeks, and thanks to that publication I found
Gamer Dads!!

Crash was amazing and so was CVG but the single greatest
videogame publication ever was the mighty: (Drum roll)
AMIGA POWER!!!
loved it large :P

That article was what led me here too.

The issue of 360Gamer we were in, was the last gaming mag I
bought and the only reason I got that was cause we were in it.
Before that hadn`t bought one for years but rather than buying a
particular mag when I did buy one, it was what demos were free
with the magazine that made me get it.
Strange though, now I have access on Live and PSN to loads of
demos and never really bother with them?

I had 2 letters published in Amiga Power and while roaming the
tinterweb the other day I actually came across some page scans,
one of which contained one of my letters. :P

It was Zzap 64 for me, with the occasional C&VG.
Later moved onto PC Zone. Don't have a regular one now, just
pick up occasional PS3 mag and Retro Gamer

There was one I used to read when I was about 14, cant remember
what is was called but it used to have a lot of topless girls
with a mix of games. Oh to be 14 again!
