Sorry Blugger, but 'V For Vendetta'? It's TERRIBLE! The graphic
novel is one of the finest things ever written and my personal
favourite. At first I would've thought it couldn't be done on
film, but 'Watchmen' proved that I was wrong. I'll shush now,
before I sound like too much of a comic nerd.
I would say:
The Big Lebowski
Withnail and I
Prince of Tides
Butterfly Effect
Sleepers
The Princess Bride
Stepbrothers
Anchorman
I'm gonna check my dvd collection for 'must sees'...feel free to
call me a buffoon if you disagree!

graphic novel?
Bullitt is ace.

I haven't read it but its like anything, the film is always
different to the book, I.E all the Harry potters, Lord of the
Rings and may other like that.
so i think its better to watch the film, then read the book (if
i could be bothered to read more) so instead of saying the film
doesnt have this...and this... You can say the book gives more
detail because it has this...and this.. :)

Oh mate, the graphic novel is awesome. Easier to read than a
'proper' book, but no lesser a product for that. There's so much
more to it than the film. I can see how the film will be better
had you not read the book first.
The character V though, is a dude, no matter what format.
On the topic of comic films, must sees are
Watchmen (then read the book)
Batman Begins
Dark Knight (then after those, read Batman: Year One and Batman:
Killing Joke to see where a lot of the inspiration came from)
