Q - 1
Did a bit of practice with Gaz at the weekend, including a
couple of wet races. Guess it paid off as we were 1 and 2 on the
grid! Nice to see someone new on the front row for the final
race.
R - 1 (O 11 / P 14 / O 11)
Couldn't shake Gaz in the first stint. Every time I almost got
out of slipstream range I made a mistake allowing him back in. I
was also wasting a lot of fuel during this phase trying to get
away. When he pitted on lap 7 he was still right behind me. I
stayed out a bit longer and never saw him again!
I wasn't sure if this was a 2 or 3 stop race, so I just stayed
out on the options as long as I could and then did the same on
the primes. After that I decided to do the final stint on
options. I'm not sure it was the right strategy. P/P/O or a 3
stop might have been faster.
The race was pretty much ruined when Moss got his drive through.
Another stupid moment from this game, and Moss seems to have had
more than his share of bad luck lately. I didn't realise that
one driver could see the permanent yellow bug while other
drivers were ok. I know I've had that problem before and always
assumed everyone else saw the same thing. After Moss' penalty I
was able to take it pretty easy. The only drama I had was when
stubbs was lagging badly right in front of me, but fortunately
he pitted that lap. His car was jumping between the pit lane and
the race track for a second or two :o
I should probably be more excited about winning the championship
but, as I've said before, that's not what it's about for me.
Plus, there are too many other factors that decide the
championship apart from driving ability anyway. I really hope
they do something about disconnections and lag.
I might not be around much til the new game comes out, but I'll
check this site and the PRL forum sometimes to see if there's
any news.
Thanks to everyone for a great season of racing. Nice clean
racing from everyone I thought. The only bad driver I saw was
the safety car ;D

Q: 9th; was not happy when I saw that it was a wet session
because I knew that I was gonna suffer. I increased the engine
to 10 laps so I can just go out there and run continuous laps to
try and get a feel for the car. Started off pretty rough as I
spun out pretty much at every turn, but when I really put my
head in the game and focused, on my 3rd - 6th lap, I chopped off
a half second on each run. Probably could've kept the streak
going had there been more time.
R: 9th, -1L; O10, P16, P10 : Good launch off the line and just
aimed to take it pretty easy through the first turn as I didn't
know what to expect being with a new wheel. I almost overtook
Dale through the S but gave him a bump and then thought about it
down at T4 but thought I'd back out. I stayed in this position
for a while and watched Dale and my teammate take off while
keeping an eye on Castrol behind me who was very racey. We
battled for a little bit and he overtook me dropping me to last
on the 3rd or 4th lap. A couple laps later I saw him spun out at
T1 so I took the position back, and at this point started to
pull away.
I was pretty astounded at how long my tires were lasting, which
probably was in part to me really not pushing the car much and
trying to be smooth the whole way around. I actually thought I
couldn't make it past L9 but I missed the pit entrance and had
to do another lap. I saw Livo just exiting the pits and drag
racing me down to T4 and I tried my best to stay in front but
the tires were crap so I was locking up everywhere. I sort of
lost it going around the last left so it was time for new
rubber.
I exited the pits on the primes just behind Castrol so I was in
last again...this middle segment of the race was the worst for
me as I just felt extremely slow. Castrol was gapping me at a
couple of tenths per sector. I had a pretty epic spin on L14
going around the last turn (which was my only spin the whole
race, remarkably) but I lost almost 10 seconds to Castrol up
ahead.
I pitted on L26 again and was trying to put options on, but the
pit crew thought it would be better for Primes ::) ::) not like
it mattered anyway as I was way far back, but I knew I could do
this race on O-P-O. Oh well....just turned the fuel up and tried
to see how fast I could go and got lapped by Supanash on L31 and
then by Moss with 2 laps to go. Last place run.
After thinking about it a bit, I really think I should just be
pleased with how my race went instead of beating myself up over
how slow I was. There is still probably a few tricks and
techniques I need to grasp with the wheel and hopefully I can
start shaving off some time and get quicker. I can't thank Moss
enough for being so generous enough to provide me with this gift
(I'll call it a birthday present :D), and I will hope to do good
things with it.
I do have to say, that this race was rather enjoyable with the
wheel, very realistic and it made me want to push so hard to go
faster.
Also, I know it's already been stated, but I do want to shout
out to Gazza for the league ... I know I've been critical of it
before and threatened to leave a couple of times but I really do
find it to be a lot of fun....even though it's at an awful time
for me. I look forward to getting on with you guys every week
and trying to close the gap to the quicker drivers ahead of me
and I don't think I have a single bad thing to say about any one
of you guys. We have a great thing here and I hope we all
continue to grow closer and have great racing for a long time to
come. Thanks again for the support and the great organization we
have and I look forward to the future.
Since we have a bit of time, you all can have a look at my
unedited video. I am going to have to break it into a few
versions due to for some reason it won't upload to my
computer...but have a look and let me know if you guys have any
critiques (most of it is pretty boring since I was running 80%
of the race alone)

Q - 5th, i think possible my worst Q position in the season, i
just couldnt get a lap together had the pace thru sector 1 and 3
but lost out in 2, engineer said the rain was easing so i went
out on options with 4 mines to go the track was drying but just
not evough to get a lap in only managed +2 secs of my inter
times.
Race 3rd
awesome fun at the start. everyone made it clean thru sector 1.
striker lagged a little with moss and i got passed him at T4.
from here on in untill lap 7 i was in a 4 car train with nash
1st gazz 2nd moss 3rd and me 4th, all of us having DRS available
and not being able to make a pass on the car in front. it was
awesome to follow and the skill on full fuel loads and different
tyre types was awesome. thats what league racing is all about.
so anyway i really went to work on moss in front and had my shot
on lap 7 heading up into t4, thought i was up enough for him to
leave room. obviously not contact made lucky no one he didnt
spin. i didnt wait as i felt i was not at any fault!
i pitt following in gazza who on the pit exit takes him time and
i get the run out of the pits and pass him with a gutsy move,
run wide into 6 and 7 and he gets the spot back. i then get p7
back from gazza the next lap into t4. follow mac for a while on
worn tyres but he pits luckily.
nash comes out of the pits a few laps later and i pounce at the
end of the lap and get him under drs.
once his tyres are worn he steals it back i just didnt have the
fuel to challenge at this point.
i had moss behind me on lap 16 he makes a nice pass on the pit
straight but for some fcked up reason gets a drive thru
ultimately ruining his race.
from here i control third place and finish 8 secs on the leader
i did a 3 stopper and they did 2 stoppers, but the merc just
didnt have it today.
video when posted will have
the 4 way tussle for 7 laps
my over take on moss
gazza battle
supanash battle
moss'rant when he gets penalty
my best lap of the race
end results!
awesome season guys cant wait for s3 when everyone is back on
learning terms with the new game!

Qualifying:
My rain pace wasn't great, I was capable of doing a faster time
but I just couldn't get a clean good lap.
Race: 2nd
Started with prines, Not a bad launch of the line, overtook
stricker on t3, then for a couple of laps I stayed close behind
gazz and Nash, until I started making lil mistakes that made
stubs close enough to make a move on me on t4, on my screen
Stubbs was behind and there was no chance for a move, but maybe
there was a lag so I can't judge Stubbs, I carried on, stubs and
gazza pitted on the same time and I slowly got close to Nash
until he pitted, then I pitted lap 14 got out just behind stubs
and Nash but stubs was lagging abit.
Just when i got close enough to overtake stubs I started getting
yellow flags on every sector, I didn't try any move on him
because I didn't want to get a penalty but I think he was
running on lean fuel, I didn't even open my drs and slowly got
pass him, I thought I got away with it but 2 corners later I got
my penalty for illegal overtaking.
2 Laps later I served my penalty lost arround 9 seconds to Nash,
thought I'd still have a chance but I had no fuel to use rich
fuel. And there was a point where my Kers wasn't working for 2
laps.
Tryed my best to catch up to Nash but my pace wasn't enough.
Congrats to Nash. And thank you all for a great season...

My 3 vids, the first one is probably the most interesting, rest
is just me learning the wheel.
Battled with Castrol, Angry gives me a bump at the start of L3.
Also, look for my spin on L14

I also went out on options at the end, but didn't even manage
to complete my outlap without crashing ;D
I was worried that if it did dry out in the final stages that my
pole could easily become last on the grid if everyone else was
out on slick tyres.

Glad you enjoyed it. It was a nightmare being at the front of
that train! Knew everyone behind me had DRS so had to save KERS
for the end of the lap and go defensive into turn 1. I guess you
were all able to do some fuel saving as well.
I agree that It was great driving from everyone. We haven't had
a group of drivers so close for so many laps all season. I think
it's a lot to do with the circuit. It's such a short lap, and
with two straights + DRS it's very difficult to pull out a gap.
