therapist to have taken specialist training in working with |

transgender issues in order to work with a transgender client? |

I think it probably would be a good idea; just to be aware of |
|
the problems transgender people may experience. |

Yes, I also think it would be beneficial for the therapist to |

have specialist training. |
|
There may be issues specific to transition that occur and |
|
because this is a relatively new area, we may not be familiar |
|
with it. There may also be certain words that are used and |
|
medical procedures to take into account. |
