I've lost everything. My HDD is dead.

---------------------------------------------------------
I will be copy/pasting this into all studios I'm in:
So it's been a rough couple of days for me. My harddrive is
dead, everything- and i do mean everything- is gone.
Irretrievable. My movies, maskings, overlays, other footage...
... HOURS AND HOURS wasted from half-finished projects I've been
working on, some over the course of a year or two. Just gone.
... and even worse, my wedding photos, Brayden's newborn
pictures, tons and tons of recorded pictures and videos over the
past several years.
To say I'm absolutely devastated is an understatement. And so, I
will not be taking any new MEP parts- or editing at all really-
until I can rebuild at least SOME of what I once had. I've lost
a majority of it, but I can at least get some of it back over
the span of a few months.
I'm not sure how long it'll take me to comb through old texts,
emails, skype, etc for family photos- and i'm not sure how long
it'll take me to redownload all of my editing stuff. But i'm
gonna ballpark it and say that I won't be active for a few
months.
Below are a few updates of things that I was in the middle of in
some of my studios:
DGS:
- Brooke (MeggyMist) is going to take over hosting "thrift shop"
and "lovely"; she's currently working on downloading all of the
parts, and she may need new download links for finished parts if
any old ones went dead. Please keep an eye on that!
- I will keep my part that I owe for "lovely", as I have the
footage downloaded. I'm glad it'll give me something to edit at
least.
DSST:
- I will continue hosting "feel it still"- i'm glad it'll keep
me still feeling connected to editing, and it'll keep me
distracted.
CR:
- I will keep my part that I owe for "blood in the water", I'll
be able to at least download the one movie and i'll be glad to
have that to work on.
.... And that's about it. I'm a mess right now, I feel like I've
lost apart of me by losing all of these things so dear to me.
I'm just kicking myself now for not backing it up. I will still
be checking in on the forums, and you guys can always reach me
on forums, skype, etc. I'm happy to talk, just on an involuntary
hiatus! Hopefully a few months from now, I'll be able to look
back and feel like I got back more than I thought I would, and
be ready to edit again.
