Nipah virus - India - 2 Dead so far |

SUMMARY - Two citizens from the country of India (in the state |
|
of Kerala) have died recently of the Nipah virus. The Nipah |
|
virus was first identified in 1999 in Malaysia. The virus is not |
|
known to be airborne but recent evidence suggests that it may |
|
have obtained human-to-human transmission. The virus currently |
|
has a 75% fatality rate. |
