Researchers discover clear differences between people with Long |

Covid and those who don't |

SUMMARY - Researchers from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center |
|
(BIDMC) have found biological differences in how the bodies of |
|
Long Covid patients fight the Covid-19 infection as opposed to |
|
patients who are able to rid themselves entirely of the |
|
infection. Analysis revealed clear differences in specific |
|
signaling pathways that appear to be the hallmarks of Long |
|
Covid. The team has initiated a phase 2a clinical trial of a |
|
drug that has been approved for atopic dermatitis to evaluate |
|
the therapeutic efficacy of targeting one of the top pathways |
|
identified in this study. |
