SUMMARY - A study from the University of Manchester has found |
|
that severe viral infections, such as from influenza or |
|
Covid-19, has the chance to cause a structure inside of the lung |
|
called a 'basement membrane' to remain damaged even after the |
|
virus is gone. The damage is cumulative over time and caused by |
|
inflammation. |
