SUMMARY: |

Histoplasmosis is an infection caused by a fungus that's often |
|
found in bird and bat droppings. People get the infection by |
|
breathing in airborne cells, called spores, from the fungus. |
|
These spores often get in the air during demolition, |
|
construction or cleanup projects. |
