discusses the proper kinds of masks)
Masked Man did his little typical masked run/jog today. Ive been
exercising Bicycling/running in safety mask for about six years
straight now with no problems, I haven't contracted any airborne
illnesses whatsoever for about six years since Ive masked
outdoors and in public since pandemic began around 2020.
There's a bonus here to wearing a mask besides preventing
illness. Its nasty out there in real life. In real life cars
pass by from time to time blowing fumes out their tailpipes,
There is construction going on. The crew down the street is
burning wood on a construction site.. there's all this dust off
the construction trucks... people mow grass all the time and
that triggers a lot of pollen dust in the air for many of us.
...My masks is helping me with all that too while I run a mile
or so on my road. It feels great not breathing in all that
stuff. I wear a mask but I don't wear a shirt which makes me
feel free and cool because my lack of shirt keeps my body
cool...
Also I got earbuds listening to electric guitar while I exercise
and those earbuds protect my ears from the occasional loud
construction vehicle or loud trucks that go by when one least
expects it.
I don't breathe any of that stuff in and I got a good workout
and of course I am protected from maskless people... been doing
it for years now in my mask and wouldn't dream of doing it any
differently!
That's what I love about the mask it not just protects me from
all airborne viruses it reduces fumes , allergens, dust and
everything else that takes it toll out on us out there in the
real world. Like I said been wearing a safety mask for about six
years now and quality of life and happiness is better for me
than before 2020 when I didn't wear mask publicly and outdoors.
Yet an even better reason to exercise while masking is that it
sort of trains you to be more comfortable when you mask for
other occasions. If you can mask while exercising you can
certainly enter a public area with confidence when your heart
rate is lower and masking while reading a book in a hospital
room is easy if you already stress tested your mask while
running or using mask while exerting yourself in some vigorous
manner.
