| Good News: Masked Woman did not pass away today! | |
| By: Masked Man Date: October 18, 2025, 7:17 am | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| Masked mans loved one was having some chest pains so we went to | |
| local hospital | |
| Good news: hospital ran tests and no signs of heart attack. | |
| (might be some gull bladder stones starting to form up high | |
| which is common but that is no big deal if they become a problem | |
| that can treated medically) | |
| It also noteworthy to mention the staff and doctors were all | |
| mask compliant upon our request for them to mask. While Im | |
| unsure of any mandate or policy in regards to masking at | |
| Watauga County Hospital Boone, NC, i did tell a receptionist and | |
| a nurse I considered the patient to be immunocompromised and she | |
| is 77 years of age. Then I simply told staff politely yet firmly | |
| who did not have a mask on and who were entering our personal | |
| space that we prefer you to mask for us if that is possible" | |
| and each staff member who wasnt masked put their mask on when | |
| approaching me and my loved one who remained masked. | |
| I commend staff for honoring our personal request to mask for | |
| us. The doctor informed me that he masks anyway because he | |
| doesnt want to bring anything home to his new daughter. | |
| Regardless of your healthcare or hospital's mandate on masks, I | |
| highly encourage patients to speak up and request to doctors and | |
| staff that you prefer they mask for you. Take charge of your | |
| health!you are the patient! and you are the customer! You have a | |
| voice and many hospitals and healthcare will comply to your | |
| request! Empower one another by requesting masks.. you may be | |
| pleasantly surprised that they often comply! | |
| My loved one and I are safe back at home again and because we | |
| masked I feel safer that we didn't catch any illnesses while we | |
| were treated there at the hospital because of the mask | |
| precautions we took and the staff took for us. | |
| Best Wishes, | |
| The Masked Man | |
| P.S. By the way, I could hear in the distance two staff members | |
| who were coughing in the background. One was coughing somewhat | |
| roughly. None of the staff or doctors that treated us directly | |
| showed signs of coughing. Maybe one was sniffling a little. But | |
| just down the hall I could tell that it was a staff member | |
| coughing throughout the hours just around corner from us and he | |
| sounded sick to me like a painful cough. But again all those | |
| directly before did mask for us and we were masked as well. | |
| There was nobody in the waiting room. | |
| Of course when we get home I treat clothes as if they are | |
| infected and throw them in wash and we shower. | |
| Also, I didn't notice any significant air purifiers in our room | |
| and I very much doubt there was some sort of ventilation system | |
| in the ceiling at least I didn't see or hear one. | |

| So sorry to hear that your loved one had to go to the hospital. | |
| I hope she is getting better. Glad to hear that the hospital was | |
| able to mask for you. | |

| Thank you Data Report! She is great.. because of the chest pains | |
| we just had to be responsible and get it checked out and the | |
| tests at hospital indicated no heart attack or heart problems. | |
| Some of the tests indicated potential gull bladder stones which | |
| might require surgery down the road so all is well and we should | |
| be going for our masked walk this evening. We are very pleased | |
| having been responsible we ruled out serious problems and at | |
| same time took precautions to reduce the probability of getting | |
| sick from the hospital visit itself by masking. | |
| I will add because I utilize the mask regularly in my life, I am | |
| well trained in the mask that it was easy for me to follow | |
| hygiene measures and health protocols so masking was quite easy | |
| for us when rushing and in the heat of moment getting her to | |
| hospital and protecting her at same time from serious viruses. | |
| Practice makes perfect and masking is a great skill and | |
| privilege to have in life to use in common day activities to | |
| simply be safer as well as when entering grounds where safety | |
| from viruses is jeopardized. No one wants to get sick from a | |
| hospital while they are taking tests to make sure they are okay | |
| to prevent prospective health issues! | |
| The mask is a great tool indeed as it simply frees me from great | |
| deal of worrying and wondering. Life is hard enough but because | |
| we are so good at masking I may have saved myself and my loved | |
| one from a needless fatal bout of pneumonia, influenza, etc. To | |
| me protecting us in a safety mask has become second nature. It's | |
| awesome brother and sisters to simply be and feel safer... now | |
| my loved one and I are free to go for a masked walk, to dance in | |
| our living room and play musical instruments and study stuff | |
| online! | |
| It is beautiful day for us, | |
| Best wishes, | |
| The Masked Man | |
| I want to emphasize and share to readers that masking is indeed | |
| a skill. It is a skill to master. It is often not just enough to | |
| throw on a mask and have instant comfort and success .. it | |
| might fog your glasses up, your face might itch, it might slip | |
| off your nose.(One of the nurses mask kept slipping off his | |
| nose.. totally unprofessional and ridiculous to see a nurses | |
| nostrils pointing out over his patient) ..ultimately you want to | |
| practice using your mask in private and working those kinks out | |
| privately in practice. Someone new to masking might have to face | |
| and overcome claustrophobic phobias while first masking. You | |
| might be required to lift fifty lbs. while wearing mask or | |
| helping somebody into a wheelchair while masked or simply be | |
| able to read a book for several hours in a mask while remaining | |
| calm.. can you do it!? I can and it becomes comfortable because | |
| of repetition and habit therefore I call it a skill. Its a | |
| similar skill just like martial arts that requires a certain | |
| practice and rehearsal to master so that it is effective and | |
| natural feeling. As with any habit once the habit and skills of | |
| masking is formed it becomes comfortable and feels good to do | |
| and even feels natural. | |
| My loved one was trained to wear that mask already. We went for | |
| daily walks in the mask. She wears that N95 mask while tackling | |
| dusty projects or cleaning things that might be moldy or if she | |
| is around things that cause allergies. We have a backdoor porch | |
| full of feral cats and some plants we enjoy and she always masks | |
| when enjoying these somewhat risky yet fulfilling activities... | |
| therefore I am proud to say she was quite comfortable and it was | |
| second nature for her to mask for our little hospital trip. | |

| Compare my story to those athletes in Data Reports sports | |
| Illness Threads (There are many who are playing despite being | |
| ill and many apparently not being diagnosed or determining their | |
| illnesses for goodness sake): | |
| LINK: | |
| https://www.datareport.inf | |
| o/2025-tracking-threads/2025-us-sports-illness-thread/ | |

| https://www.datareport.inf | |
| o/2025-tracking-threads/2025-international-sports-illness-thread | |
| /msg4333/?topicseen#new | |
| Note all the undiagnosed undisclosed illness cases amongst the | |
| athletes. If I behaved like those athletes and didn't seek | |
| medical attention for my loved one, you would think I should go | |
| to jail for having denied medical treatment to my loved one. | |
| What happen to us is my loved appeared to have great anxiety and | |
| little chest pains. Maybe it was the spicy shrimp creole we ate | |
| or maybe it was some pain medicine that she normally doesn't | |
| take that evening that triggered her discomfort but why take | |
| chances!? Let's be realistic ...DON"T TAKE UNNECESSARY RISKS OR | |
| CHANCES ... it was high time to seek medical attention.. like | |
| right away!! I love her! | |
| I couldn't play know it all when it comes to a loved one being | |
| uncomfortable with symptoms of illness and we did the right | |
| thing by promptly seeking medical attention in our masks to | |
| avoid further illnesses and complications that could arise from | |
| catching an airborne illness/virus at hospital while we were | |
| there. Look at wonderful results: | |
| We found out my loved one is okay. | |
| We ruled out that she was not having any immediate life | |
| threatening conditions such as heart problems | |
| We found out from tests she might have prospective problems with | |
| gall bladder stones or kidney stones which is a great thing to | |
| know for the future | |
| We came home knowing we can participate in walking (exercise) | |
| with no fear of it killing her. | |
| Compare this to all the unknown scary illnesses as of yet | |
| diagnosis' for all that athletes who are ignoring what is | |
| inherently good for us such as knowledge of what ails them and | |
| who have no idea what illness they are sporting with. Ignoring | |
| or pushing blindly through symptoms of an unknown illness is no | |
| way to live. With real medical attention and care much of this | |
| useless suffering that ill athletes are subjecting one another | |
| to in the face of acting macho might even be easily | |
| preventable. Imagine the monstrosity, if I treated my loved one | |
| that way and simply told you all she is suffering from an | |
| 'illness' but that we will push through those chest pains and | |
| that he ache and walk competitively anyway tomorrow! That's | |
| exactly the way we treat these athletes who are complaining or | |
| bragging about their symptoms and undisclosed undiagnosed | |
| illnesses. | |
| Think about it: Many retirement homes, airports ,schools | |
| participate in disclosing warning information to the public when | |
| they know the public was exposed to a case of measles, or | |
| tuberculoses on their grounds in order to reduce outbreaks... | |
| the entire airport or school warns the public of an exposure | |
| meanwhile athlete after athlete simply states they have an | |
| "illness" with no regard or fair warning to those they may have | |
| been in contact with that week. Talk about playing dumb.. stop | |
| playing until you figure out what ya got.. then report what you | |
| got to others so others know what to look for. Half the battle | |
| in treating something properly is knowing what it is and so its | |
| simply mean to hide it from others you had contact with. A sick | |
| person might go the doctors and be a day too late in wondering | |
| what particular contagious disease or illness they have because | |
| the athlete that gave it to them is hiding his or her illness. | |
| People, | |
| If someone you love is hurting be responsible, seek medical | |
| attention and make efforts to find out what is wrong and take | |
| precautions such as masking to prevent further problems while | |
| determining illness. | |
| If I treated my loved one like these athletes who keep playing | |
| while sporting an undiagnosed or undisclosed illness they'd put | |
| me in prison and rightly so for refusing to seek medical | |
| attention to one who needs it! We as a society attempt to help | |
| people who are in need of medical care or unable to care for | |
| themselves or if we are suicidal. I don't see why we let | |
| athletes endanger themselves and others. | |
| That being said, it is equally offensive that many doctors, | |
| nurses, staff, patients don't take precautions such as masking | |
| and other preventative measures to protect one another, their | |
| patients from exchanging airborne illnesses and viruses while | |
| these patients are seeking medical attention. Many of us who | |
| need medical attention are rightly afraid to because we are | |
| afraid to get sick at the very place we seek medical treatment | |
| and attention from. | |
| The n95 mask is an indispensable tool that has been | |
| scientifically proven to help prevent airborne illness and | |
| viruses, Use it! | |
| The Masked Man | |
| P.S. Our masked doctor and masked nurse had my masked love one | |
| hooked up to a machine that checks for heart attacks and | |
| monitors vital signs, blood pressure, oxygen saturation | |
| constantly for like four hours straight. Not once did the doctor | |
| tell my loved one to take off her mask and that machine would | |
| have told us if she wasn't getting enough oxygen or if the mask | |
| was impeding her health in any way. She's 77 and didn't whine | |
| about her mask so there's absolutely no excuse for people to say | |
| they can't breathe through a properly fitted n95 mask especially | |
| an athlete or healthcare worker. | |
| We have to seek medical treatment again someday so there needs | |
| to be an agreement and a mandate for all doctors to mask or | |
| rather all doctors, nurses, and staff who boast of treating the | |
| human condition should follow the scientific data and wear masks | |
| .. we probably just got lucky that particular doctor who ran | |
| tests on us last night wears masks. I commended him for masking | |
| and you know what his reply was? It was "I mask because I have a | |
| newborn daughter and I don't want to bring any of that stuff | |
| home to her". | |
| I certainly haven't even had a doctor checkup nor do I go to | |
| hospital unless I think I'm dying since nobody masks in the | |
| waiting rooms and my loved one's cousin got covid during his | |
| hospital stay(caught covid while in the hospital) and passed | |
| away from covid complications. I'm not a dumb animal that is | |
| going to risk catching an airborne illness from those that don't | |
| make efforts to prevent airborne illnesses. Unless I absolutely | |
| have to, Even though I mask I'm not likely going to enter a | |
| place that is supposed to treat illnesses and has ill people | |
| routinely frequent their facility that doesn't do squat to | |
| prevent the spread of illnesses amongst their staff and | |
| clientele. Like I said I'm not deaf I heard some hospital staff | |
| worker down the hall coughing his head off for four hours | |
| straight while me and loved one were in masks in a room hooked | |
| up to something that monitor her health and monitoring for heart | |
| attacks. I have no way of knowing if that obviously sick staff | |
| worker came into our room or infected those that work around | |
| him. Usually that is how people get sick.. someone is sick they | |
| don't go home and cough and make others sick. It doesn't take a | |
| brain surgeon to figure that out. | |
| When I do have to go to these places I make people wear masks | |
| around me and my loved ones because we are wearing masks. I tell | |
| the nurses that don't have a mask : "We prefer you wear a mask | |
| for us" So far they comply because I won't let them near my | |
| masked loved one if they don't mask up. I"ll get my loved one | |
| outta there if they don't mask up. As genuine caretaker, I in my | |
| mask will become a physical barrier between me and my masked | |
| love one if they don't mask. Her regular doctor(whom according | |
| to nurse has actually lost a lot of elderly patients to covid) | |
| refused to see us because he refuses to mask so we found a | |
| doctor that does mask. Ive also got a spray bottle of rubbing | |
| alcohol. I keep in my jacket pocket constantly spraying our | |
| hands and to clean the chairs we sit in. You want something done | |
| right you gotta do it yourself. | |

| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| Update/ | |
| Follow-Up: | |
| We just returned form a local doctor routine yearly exam/ | |
| checkup. | |
| Everything looks good! | |
| We've been masking publicly since 2020, My loved one is 77 soon | |
| to be 78 years old and hasn't had a single airborne illness | |
| since 2020. | |
| It's not "knock on wood", nor is it by mere luck or chance that | |
| we have been this healthy.... Its because of our masks and the | |
| preventative measures we take. | |
| A Mask point to ponder: | |
| The mask will never brag about how many times it has saved your | |
| life.. it just saves lives and hardship unbeknownst to you or | |
| me. | |
| There was one person today coughing painfully in the doctor's | |
| waiting room. For all I know it was covid or pneumonia. My uncle | |
| passed away from pneumonia recently. Why sugar coat it.. | |
| illnesses causes great suffering, disability and it's fair to | |
| say illness can murder. It would equally be true to say | |
| pneumonia killed my uncle and that pneumonia murdered my uncle. | |
| Because me and my loved one masked today we may have dodged an | |
| airborne illness that would have taken out my life or her life | |
| at 77 years of age or any age for that matter. | |
| We were masked and so that also empowered and definitely gives | |
| us the right to tell the nurses we prefer they mask. I did just | |
| that. To the nurses that were to work directly with my masked | |
| love one I went up to them personally directly beforehand and | |
| said "We prefer you wear a mask for us" and so those that | |
| weren't masked did mask for us before touching my loved one. | |
| They were masked so therefore they didn't get in her face and | |
| simply give her anything in the asymptomatic stage insofar as | |
| airborne illness goes. | |
| Besides wearing our masks and besides simply lowering my voice | |
| and telling a maskless nurse or two that is about to have | |
| contact with us that "we prefer you wear mask for us, if that is | |
| alright"..or We prefer you wear a mask for her/us if that is | |
| possible", I tell it to whoever approaches her and they always | |
| turn away and slip their mask on instantly.. so far they never | |
| object they always seem to get a mask on real quick.. | |
| ...Every now and again Ive had to ask a few nurses or attendants | |
| on other occasions sometimes more than once and they always end | |
| up masking when I repeat the request..sometimes Ive had to say " | |
| "we prefer you wear mask for us, if that is alright, now Thank | |
| you"..or We prefer you wear a mask for her/us Now.. thank you "" | |
| I prefer you put on a mask now" .. and so far they put one one. | |
| I always just use the words my/her/our preference with great | |
| results. They usually never try to talk their way out of wearing | |
| one and if they did I would probably just ignore it and repeat | |
| myself "we prefer you mask before letting them proceed. I | |
| wouldn't let them take blood or anything without that mask on | |
| their face. They probably sense that and they put their mask on. | |
| Regardless I never let anyone touch her or breathe on her or | |
| guide her directly without them wearing a mask simply because | |
| that's what I believe in and we are wearing our masks so they | |
| should do as we are and first and foremost because #1 only thing | |
| that counts is what we want and ask for... "we prefer them to | |
| wear masks." | |
| I also tell whoever worked with us masked as they leave the room | |
| is to make sure the nest person is "masked for us" I just say | |
| it: "Make sure the next person coming in is masked for | |
| us"...This just reinforces the notion I appreciate the masking | |
| and also gives the masked nurse or whoever I am talking to to | |
| make sure the doctor or whoever really has their mask on.That's | |
| just an extra thing that just makes me feel better to reinforce | |
| masking... a nice reminder to other I want them masked so I | |
| don't have to tell them my preferences directly. | |
| Because we masked we were able to stick our dirty clothes in the | |
| wash before unmasking and were able to wash our bodies and hair | |
| before touching our faces which have air holes and membranes | |
| that carry microscopic entities into our system. | |
| For all I know, the mask saved our lives today! The mask is an | |
| unsung hero so to speak. You never know how close to death we | |
| may have come today for it weren't for our mask wearing at that | |
| doctor's office! | |
| Anyway the mask will never get the credit it deserves because it | |
| doesn't tell you it saved you from a pesky virus or not.. it | |
| just does its job to prevent airborne illness and prevents you | |
| from breathing in microscopic entities and particles. I'm sure | |
| If a mask could talk it would tell you it saved your hide and | |
| your life when it did. | |
| By wearing masks and not catching any airborne illness | |
| whatsoever such as a cold, the flu, covid, etc for about 6 years | |
| now, who knows how many good years we have actually added onto | |
| our lives! | |
| A chain is only as strong as its weakest link... An ounce of | |
| prevention is worth a pound of cure which is why I mask, | |
| The Masked Man | |
| P.S. | |
| Not only did we mask at the doctor's office, we also climbed a | |
| few flights of steps rather than taking the stuffy elevator! We | |
| masked crusaders are obviously in better shape than the unmasked | |
| ones who take elevator. | |
| My attitude is there's a good chance our masks saved our lives | |
| today. I live believing that after all there was somebody in | |
| that waiting room painfully coughing their poor aching head off. | |
| I sleep better at night knowing my loved one and I were masked | |
| and likely didn't breathe in whatever that person was suffering | |
| with. Who knows what our mask saved us from! I'm just grateful | |
| we are maskers.. that's for sure! | |

| Re: Good News: Masked Woman did not pass away today! | |
| By: Masked Man Date: November 3, 2025, 5:50 pm | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| Update on Masked Woman's health status.. | |
| .. the results and proofs are in.. from snail mail, we just | |
| received the results from lab tests from doctor's office; | |
| Masked woman has "slightly elevated creatinine level and a | |
| slightly depressed eGFR. She is to avoid NSAIDS (ibuprofen, | |
| naproxen, diclofenac, meloxicam, Celebrex, etc.) and make sure | |
| she drinks plenty of water throughout the day. Otherwise there | |
| is no need for changes to current management." | |
| .. all that's good news! Not bad for a 77 year old. I have | |
| encouraged her to wear a mask since beginning of pandemic in | |
| 2020. She masks when she briefly goes outside and we mask for | |
| public walks and mask for any public encounters we might be | |
| forced to have. | |
| Evidently the mask and our protective way of life hasn't done us | |
| any harm and we have avoided any covid or airborne illnesses | |
| since 2020 because of our masking and protective way of life. | |
| The mask hasn't appeared to have any negative consequences for | |
| my loved one and mine and only seems to provide for a more | |
| quality of life possibly adding years onto our life. | |
| I'd like to know How many 77 year olds do you know that haven't | |
| caught a single airborne illness in 6 years straight? I think a | |
| person that is 77 year old or any age for that matter is | |
| healthier for having masked and not having caught any airborne | |
| illnesses! Anyway the results of Masked woman's relative good | |
| health lab results indicate the masking publicly and outdoors is | |
| a good thing especially considering all the things she hasn't | |
| wrong with her. | |
| All I know is Masked woman is relatively healthy. We wear masks | |
| and avoid public exposure and catching contagious illnesses for | |
| 6 years of vital health success thus far. I gotta give the mask | |
| the credit! We are better off for having worn our masks! It's | |
| worth it! | |
| The Masked Man | |
| P.S. We just bought a container/vase perfect for water storage | |
| to monitor she drinks enough water throughout the day. We shall | |
| keep it in fridge and we shall make sure she gets enough water | |
| and stays nice and hydrated. | |
| Now we avoid NSAID's.. we might go the extra mile and reduce our | |
| meats and eat more plant based diet instead... I need to do all | |
| that anyway so I'm game! I'll adopt these new healthier diet | |
| habits as well! | |
| Insofar as some of our exercise we shall walk more frequently | |
| but earlier in the day. We always walk masked but I still can't | |
| barely stand walking by the maskless so we are even less likely | |
| to walk past the maskless 'days are numbered' mortals by walking | |
| earlier in the day. Personally I just can't stand maskless | |
| people and so be it. It is to my benefit I avoid the maskless. | |
| The maskless just don't have that it takes to impress me and | |
| aren't worth my time. | |
| ... gosh just think if she hadn't masked and caught covid or | |
| anything!? Her health probably wouldn't be as good if she | |
| hadn't masked and instead had caught a bout or two of covid from | |
| frivolous encounters with good for nothing maskless neighbors, | |
| so-called maskless friends, disrespectful maskless relatives. | |
| maskless handyman, or maskless church related events ...had she | |
| caught any airborne illnesses over the past six years, she might | |
| not even be here with me. I certainly wouldn't want to leave | |
| that up to chance. I declare this with raw sincerity: Thank you | |
| mask for saving our 'efffin lives! | |
| Also, apparently our masks worked and we didn't get sick from | |
| the doctor's visit itself to get the lab test done in the | |
| doctor's office which included a maskless lady coughing | |
| painfully in the waiting room. One of my biggest concerns and | |
| most rational justified fears is simply catching an illness from | |
| sick people while getting a routine checkup or while taking a | |
| lab test in a healthcare facility. We wore masks and I made | |
| sure personally and successfully directed all doctors and nurses | |
| approaching us directly and to hose entering into our room to | |
| also wear masks. Obviously our masks worked as we didn't get | |
| sick it being a week or so later of no illness since our doctor | |
| visit. | |
| Lemme tell ya something people, you don't wanna take chances | |
| right now with anything... if you have to go somewhere be safe | |
| and smart by wearing well-fitting N95 masks like us! Trust me. | |
| Tonight Masked Man and Masked woman celebrate our health by | |
| resuming our online dance lessons from 375 Dance Studio LINK: | |
| https://www.youtube.com/c/375DanceStudio | |
| ... we love to dance in our living room! Later! | |

| Re: Good News: Masked Woman did not pass away today! | |
| By: Masked Man Date: November 21, 2025, 3:52 pm | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| Just got back from the regular MD consisting of a consultation | |
| with my loved one and MD so that she can get a referral for gall | |
| bladder surgery. | |
| Lemme tell ya man .. one receptionist had a mask on and that was | |
| all I saw of masked people. None of the people going there for | |
| checkup or who were ill were masking.. that's for sure. To me | |
| It's nasty. It disgusts me. Defend yourselves and mask up! duh! | |
| Especially around sick people and when caring for sick people! | |
| We were masked of course and then I just said in the most timid | |
| meek nicest voice as possible "We prefer you wear a mask.. if | |
| that's okay!?" I have a real deep voice so I toned it down so it | |
| felt like I was almost begging. The nurse agreed and stuck her | |
| mask on .... we were in a super stuffy room.. | |
| Right after the nurse took some vitals and was leaving I made | |
| another official request to have her tell the doctor to mask | |
| before he entered and she did.. | |
| ...whew ...The doctor actually put a mask on even though he | |
| didn't have one on in the hallway ... I sprayed the place with | |
| 91 percent rubbing alcohol when nobody was looking ... | |
| ...I literally stood by and blocked the door ready to square up | |
| with anybody that even tried to enter our room maskless. I was | |
| literally going to stick my masked face into their maskless face | |
| and simply repeat "we prefer you mask" over and over no matter | |
| what until they obeyed. | |
| In my perspective , as the ever faithful Masked Man who hasn't | |
| had a single airborne illness since 2020 because of masking | |
| thinks: These unmasked people at medical facilities are crazy! | |
| People just don't have any respect for viruses. Its nuts ... its | |
| a microscopic entity and you just know people spread viruses in | |
| these medical facilities ... | |
| I'm home now everything went into wash... took mask off right | |
| before showering ... sprayed everything like shoes and every | |
| object that was there with rubbing alcohol... | |
| This was a terrifying day to little old masked man...Its | |
| terrifying to someone like me that doesn't take chances with | |
| getting sick or making my 77 year old loved one sick. Today I | |
| faced or rather masked for my worst enemy" a place where sick | |
| maskless people gather... A medical facility! | |
| I guess soon she has to have surgery and that's got me nervous | |
| too because her cousin got covid during his stay at a hospital | |
| and then passed away from covid complications. So I'll tell the | |
| surgeon all about my rational fears and how I want everybody | |
| masked and I'll have to guard her and myself. | |
| I'm not wimpy.. I'm tough.. I can bicycle 7 miles straight in a | |
| mask, I lift some weights, I can work a little on a roof (I do | |
| it masked).. Ive stared down some mean dogs in my time even had | |
| guys flashing knives at me in my life but I just weigh the odds | |
| and simply know I'm no match for microscopic entities such | |
| viruses..That's the one thing I can't beat... viruses kick my | |
| butt! When I get sick I'm beat and whipped. For me viruses | |
| always win. When I used to go unmasked and get sick I always | |
| prayed for it to be over. I hate long term suffering that | |
| getting sick brings. | |
| I just never underestimate or belittle the true nature of | |
| insidious airborne illnesses , airborne viruses, and airborne | |
| diseases! They are so small and sticky .. you can't see 'em and | |
| they will torture you, give ya long term health problems and | |
| kill people too. I can't stand a fever I can't stand a headache | |
| or an ear infection etc. A virus is torture incarnate! | |
| Anyway message to readers is to stand up for your masks and | |
| don't be afraid to tell an unmasked nurse or unmasked doctor you | |
| "prefer" they wear a mask!, | |
| The Masked Man | |
| P.S. We probably are fine from today's Doctor's (we wore N95 | |
| masks during visit and kept masks on way home in car (incase of | |
| surface contamination on our clothes or from our hair was | |
| infectious) and then we threw clothes in wash and took showers | |
| but ya never know for sure because of surface contamination and | |
| you just never know if you don't happen to be carrying an | |
| electron microscope with ya. | |
| If you are a caretaker and you love yourself and you love who | |
| you are bringing into a medical facility, you keep you masks on | |
| and stand up for yourselves and make medical professionals who | |
| come up to you mask for you! Don't be wimpy about it! That's | |
| your life brothers and sisters! Mask up! | |
| That nurse and that doctor didn't have any masks on till I | |
| voiced my preferences and requests several times! You masked | |
| people out there make your voice heard make your preferences | |
| known, set your personal boundaries, and make those nurses and | |
| doctors mask before they get in your masked face or touch ya! | |
| Don't let 'em breathe on ya! | |

| Re: Good News: Masked Woman did not pass away today! | |
| By: Masked Man Date: December 15, 2025, 10:37 am | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| Just got back from a pre-surgery appointment for Masked Woman | |
| who is probably to have Gall Bladder removed. | |
| Nurse was nice and put on a mask for us when I said "we prefer | |
| you put a mask on if that is alright" and she complied and had | |
| the doctor also put on a mask when he came in for us. | |
| I'm still terrified doctors simply think covid isn't as bad | |
| nowadays.. they simply write it off as not as dangerous .. I say | |
| "I still worry about the long term repercussions of a novel | |
| disease such as covid" and the doctor gets real silent when I | |
| said that. There's no reply to that concern of mine They are | |
| specialists they are not necessarily virologists .. Long covid | |
| is super serious ..it just irks me when doctors underestimate | |
| the impact these diseases can have I certainly am not going to | |
| take my mask off I don't want covid no matter what anybody says. | |
| Ive gone this long without covid.. I'll keep masking..'F' | |
| catching covid or anything at this point! I developed my masking | |
| skills to a tee the last 6 years so I'm going to keep using | |
| them! | |
| I'm telling you virus's are like the Achilles heel for many of | |
| us at any age.. A virus can simply be one more nail in the | |
| coffin to some of us. Besides even if it doesn't kill me viruses | |
| are frickin' uncomfortable! I hate being tortured by any illness | |
| whatsoever! All this is because I have been masking and realize | |
| how great it is having not gotten even a minor routine cold.. | |
| its so sweet.. I'm telling masking is sweet! | |
| I'm glad the doctor masked for us after I requested them too | |
| but the nurse and doctor didn't wash their hands in front of me | |
| (there's soap right there hanging on the wall) and there aint | |
| nobody cleaning the seats.. Still I feel safer because the | |
| doctor and nurse couldn't breathe directly on my loved one as | |
| much through their mask.. it just seems safer that all of us | |
| were masking since we were somewhat closer to one another. | |
| It still never ceases to amaze me the lack of interest doctors | |
| have when I tell them my loved one and I have been masking for | |
| 6 years and haven't caught a single airborne virus!... Ive never | |
| had a doctor once say "That's amazing!" or "good Job!" .. its | |
| just weird their lack of interest in the fact I am a healthy | |
| specimen and have been healthy for that long a time.. 6 years of | |
| not even a cold is simply something to Bragg about to a doctor.. | |
| they never pat me on the back or tell my loved one how special I | |
| am or that I am a good protector! | |
| I feel like I am a better doctor and more of an expert than the | |
| doctor that stands before me! because I am so healthy and bet | |
| you anything they've gotten sick within the timespan of six | |
| years. It just feels really strange being healthier than those | |
| who are supposed to be experts on the matter...lol..I guess | |
| that's why I have to tell them to put on a mask for me! Its | |
| totally screwed up and backwards that essentially I am more | |
| successful than a doctor is at fighting virus's because I am a | |
| masker and they aren't!. Its actually pathetic. Doctors and | |
| those in healthcare should learn from my success and mask up for | |
| their profession everyday.. that's all there is to it. They need | |
| to automatically mask for their patients! Doctors need to | |
| mandate this into their own code of ethics and work it in that | |
| Hippocratic oath they took about promising to always prevent | |
| illnesses by all possible means. Doctors and nurses need to to | |
| more not less they need to take the extra mile and Take extra | |
| precautions because one can take extra probations.. put the | |
| 'extra' in the 'extra' and do the 'EXTRA' because its possible.. | |
| not do less (Doctors also need to read up on the latest long | |
| covid studies as well even if that isn't their specialty). Take | |
| precautions like masking for viruses because it's easy and it | |
| helps and never hurts to do the extra. They need to mask because | |
| it never hurts and it only helps. Things that only help are | |
| good... and doctors need to do good things...right?. its just | |
| common sense. | |
| ...I haven't been sick because of my precautions and masking in | |
| 6 whole years.. not a single contagions airborne illness... I'm | |
| the perfect specimen .. my loved one also hasn't been sick in 6 | |
| whole years. I'm glad for that. I'm not afraid to be me and to | |
| live a masked way of life. I don't like the same things a lot of | |
| other people seem like anyway..I'm glad I'm different ..I say | |
| its paid off having an incredible skill like masking has done me | |
| nothing but good! I don't miss waiting in lines or shopping or | |
| eating out .. I love my life as it is now. | |
| whew, I feel like we were safe enough today with our masks.. | |
| still there's old people in waiting room one with a little | |
| cough... but we sat in our masks far away and washed everything | |
| when we got home. The next appointment should be okay | |
| .. I guess I'll be masking up at home for awhile directly after | |
| her gall bladder surgery just to be on the safe side for myself. | |
| That's my big fear and genuine concern she gets sick in a | |
| hospital setting with some virus from a maskless staff person. | |
| The surgery is porobally in January which hopefully flu season | |
| will be over. Once again there's no masking mandate and once | |
| they take my loved one away I can't be certain all people will | |
| mask to be on the safe side. I am the one that makes sure my | |
| loved one has mask on. Its terrifying to me. That will be a | |
| scary day as surgery is scary enough. Again I worry less about | |
| the surgery as I do her getting a virus . She's 77 soon to be | |
| 78.. people should take all precautions! | |
| I'm not an extremest. I'm 55 and Ive tested this masked way of | |
| life for six years now.. I do better masked! I actually like | |
| not catching viruses after six years of playing it safe. I don't | |
| miss be around maskless people whatsoever. I am completely happy | |
| at home performing music or studying online or being with my | |
| pets. I love being safe. I don't miss even that occasional cold | |
| or ear infection I would get once a year or so. | |
| I Gotta tell ya Society stinks! There's nothing meaningful for | |
| me in frivolous encounters with the maskless. They are but | |
| passerby's They aren't safe and don't protect themselves. I find | |
| meaningfulness at home online where one can truly be free to | |
| focus or use the intellect on safer grounds or be creative in | |
| front of the computer or a good book or anywhere safe in the | |
| den. There's nothing very satisfying or fulfilling for me being | |
| out and about. It's just a rat race of activities that people | |
| have to 'get done'..there's nothing intellectual or particularly | |
| artistic to be gained out in a public place for me. I never go | |
| out unless I have to like going to doctors for a loved one's | |
| Gall bladder... | |
| ...I have spoiled myself not getting sick whatsoever in the last | |
| six years because of Masking and I plan on continuing to stay | |
| safe because it was well worth masking to me . Its been six | |
| beautiful healthy years because of my way of precautions and my | |
| masked way of life. I don't miss a single thing others would | |
| conceive of as being 'normal". I am far better off being more | |
| independent and safer than I used to be pre pandemic days ... | |
| ...I'm definitely the Masked Man forever.. happy and proud of my | |
| somewhat independent Masked way of life! :) | |

| Thank you Steve. | |
| I admit I must have gone to the bathroom a million times this | |
| morning and can barely eat not to mention didn't get a wink of | |
| sleep before the appointment. I have more concerns than she | |
| does! | |
| It is a very common procedure so it will likely be very | |
| successful.. she probably won't even have to stay overnight. | |
| Still its nerve-racking for little old me. | |
| Thanks for for your concern it means a lot to me to be able to | |
| share my feelings online with everybody here. | |
| It keeps me focused and feels healthy to simply write freely how | |
| I feel and what my thought process' are as I learn new things, | |
| meet challenges and observe events. | |
| Have a great day brother! :) | |
| The Masked Man | |
| P.S. So the doctor masked for me.. his mask didn't slip under | |
| his nose completely but still its super hard to focus because | |
| his mask just kept slowly riding down his nose... no matter how | |
| hard I concentrate it just comes back to "How low is it gonna | |
| go" until he finally pushes his mask back up so I can | |
| concentrate again on what he is saying. Its just nerve-wracking | |
| being around a mask that keeps slipping on a doctor's nose :o . | |
| Gawd, it's good to be back home. There's nothing like taking a | |
| crash course in how Gall Bladders work while same time being | |
| acutely aware of nose slippage of Doctor's Mask.. ya just feel | |
| like helping him with his mask ...Oh and earlier when the nice | |
| nurse went to put a mask on for us she got two out of the box | |
| that didn't work until finally there was nothing wrong with the | |
| third mask. At least they masked and at least the the car | |
| started so I could get back home! lol | |
