| SUMMARY - While it is currently illegal in the state of North | |
| Carolina to sell Raw Milk for human consumption, there are | |
| currently loopholes that it can be sold as "pet milk" or as part | |
| of a herd-share agreement. These loopholes may be closed if a | |
| bill, currently passing through North Carolina legislature | |
| called "The 2025 Farm Act, Senate Bill 639" is passed into law. | |
| Raw Milk is hazardous for human consumption, as it can carry | |
| Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) along with other | |
| harmful substances because it is not pasteurized. | |
