SUMMARY - Covid variant XEC, identified in the country of |
|
Germany in June of this year, has seen growth in Germany and |
|
other countries such as Denmark. It appears to have a slight |
|
transmission advantage over other recent Covid variants although |
|
whether that advantage translates into XEC becoming the eventual |
|
dominant strain remains to be seen. |

SUMMARY - Covid variant XEC now appears to be in at least half |
|
of the 50 states in the country of the United States. The state |
|
of New Jersey has at least 15 cases with California and Virginia |
|
with at least 10 cases. XEC appears to be a combination of prior |
|
Covid variants KS.1.1 and KP.3.3. |
