Cholera - Nigeria - 2024 outbreak |

SUMMARY - In the country of Nigeria, a cholera outbreak that has |
|
claimed the lives of at least 21 people in the state of Lagos |
|
State and elsewhere has been traced to a source. Government |
|
officials claim that the source of the cholera outbreak was the |
|
consumption of an unregistered beverage, according to that |
|
nation's National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and |
|
Control (NAFDAC). The strain of cholera identified was "Vibrio |
|
cholera subtype 01" which is viewed as the most aggressive and |
|
infectious type of cholera. There have been at least 401 cases |
|
of cholera linked to this outbreak with several more suspected. |
|
NOTE - The original subject title of this topic thread was |

|

SUMMARY - The cholera outbreak in the country of Nigeria has |
|
grown to 528 cases with 53 deaths. 31 out of the 36 states |
|
within that country has been affected. |
