MERS-CoV - Saudi Arabia - 3 dead - No known contact with camels |

SUMMARY - The country of Saudi Arabia has reported that three |
|
men have died from MERS-CoV (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome). |
|
The three men did not have direct contact with camels which is |
|
the primary method for contracting the virus. The mortality rate |
|
of MERS-CoV is 35%. The index case was a 56-year old man who was |
|
a teacher in the capital of Riyadh who became sick in April |
|
2024. |
