| Lassa Fever - Nigeria - 2024 outbreak | |
| By: Steve Date: May 11, 2024, 2:48 pm | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| SUMMARY - There has been an update on the Lassa Fever outbreak | |
| in the country of Nigeria. There has now been 156 deaths with | |
| 857 infected within the date range of January through April 28, | |
| 2024. The states of Ondo, Edo & Bauchi have been hardest hit. | |
| NOTE - It is not known why there is a discrepancy between | |
| numbers of infected between the two articles. The difference is | |
| concerning and warrants further investigation. One possibility | |
| is that many of them were false positives but that is only | |
| speculation. | |
