Chikungunya - Timor-Leste - First Ever Outbreak |

SUMMARY - The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (otherwise |
|
known as East Timor) is experiencing their first ever outbreak |
|
of chikungunya, a disease that causes debilitating joint pain |
|
and is spread by mosquitoes. The risk of death is 1 in 1,000. |
|
There is presently no vaccine available for this disease. |
