Hi Stefan,
I visited Castle Combe yesterday and saw cyclekarting for the
first time.
Am hooked after talking to the guys who were all very friendly
and informative and have decided to do a build.
I guess getting a set of springs is a good start - so please put
me down for a pair if not too late.

The original 5/6 I thought were needed may not be now. But so
far I think the following people have asked for a pair:
Steve P
Chris L
Chris B
Rich G
Graham H
Anyone else? I'll follow up about the 5/6 and then contact
Midland Motor Springs to place the order and hope they'll do the
same price.

Just picking this thread up as a newbie. Springs seem to be the
'hard to find' item - I think I have sources for most other bits
though will need to check periodically.
From what I've gleaned - I contact Midland Motor Springs,
whisper 'invoice 42751' and they'll know what I'm talking about
and expect 110 to 120 for a pair.
Have I got this right?

My I suggest an alternative supplier you could make contact
with, this being Jones Springs. Rhys and myself bought 2 sets of
springs which cost 115.00 per pair.
The sizes were as detailed below and if you need any further
info about them the man to ask would be Rhys as he has a noise
for finding suppliers.
Once again, I would suggest this parts issue has identified the
possible need to create a club parts supplier list.
By this I mean that the membership can consult said list when
looking for parts rather than openly posting requests for help.
I think it would save a lot of time and help everyone.
Springs:-
Width. 35 mm
Thickness. 5 mm
Eye to eye. 590 mm. (Straight line)
Along length 660 mm
Arch. 100 mm
Comes with bronze bushings to take M10 bolts.
Regards
Scotty

Latest set of springs ordered from Midland Motor Springs were
much more expensive.

Just to say Im still up for a pair of new springs from
somewhere or other
Iwonder wether it might be worth an email to Gemini to try and
get them interested in buying a load to go along with the rest
of their CK parts?

[I did approach Gemini a couple of years ago but they were
unable to secure sufficient discount to make it worthwhile.]

I'm wanting a pair so I'll give them a ring.
I've seen different cambers shown in different places - 100mm
recently.
I guess I'll have to do a full size drawing to check.
