hello all,
thank you for letting me join. I got very interested in
Cyclekarts this summer having seen you all at the malvern kit
car show. I'd very much like to build one but currently
wondering if i have the skills (i'm very much a kit car buyer
and driver rather than builder!) Currently reading all the build
threads and learning as much as I can. I'm based in Nottingham.

Hi Paul. I was the same, no idea how to go about building one.
Part of the build process for me was to learn new skills,
welding, fibre-glassing, woodwork etc. I'm glad I took the
plunge and now have two cyclekarts, and a load of new skills
(although my welding could do with considerable improvement)
I'm only over at Matlock so not far from Notts. If you fancy a
ride over in the new year for a chat over a brew and a look
round my cyclekarts I'm happy to answer any questions you may
have. Would be good to have someone else in the Notts Derby area
that's part of the club.

I too was in a similar position, but theres loads of YouTube
videos and help on the forum that should cover everything
required. I kept things as simple as possible for my first
build, with the main aim being just to make something that would
work. The inevitable second build is where you can experiment
and get more creative!
