CKGB Regions

Regions are simply a way to bring members together at a more
local level. They help us:
[li]Encourage informal social interaction between nearby
members[/li]
[li]Support builders with local advice and hands-on help[/li]
[li]Explore and organise regional opportunities for driving[/li]
[li]Share the organisation of events more widely as we grow[/li]
[li]Make the most of venues that may not be able to host
everyone at once[/li]
CKGB remains one club with a national identity, and our core
structure stays the same. A national committee will still be
elected at the AGM, and all members remain full CKGB members.
Regions dont have separate memberships or identities.
How It Works
Regional Groups: Regions are supported by small local
sub-committeesjust a chair and events co-ordinator at
minimumchosen by members in that area. Regional committees are
sub-committees of the main club committee.
Events Coordination: Each active region will contribute to the
events sub-committee, helping to shape both regional and
national events.
Funding & Support: Regional groups can apply for small grants to
help with development or event organisation. All finances
continue to go through the club treasurer.
Events: Driving events will continue to follow our established
planning and safety processes. Social events will be covered
under CKGBs insurance, as long as theyre pre-notified by the
Regional Committee via a simple form.
Maintaining Our Identity
Our shared identity as CKGB is really important. To keep things
consistent, regions will use the same club branding, and any new
use of logos or materials should go through the clubs
Communications lead.
We hope Regions will help make the club feel even more
welcoming, supportive, and activewherever youre based.
