Positions

Positions right now are very confusing. There are many member
groups, with arbitrary names like "troll" and "grasshopper" and
no real meaning.
So here's what I propose
Eight positions in total, with different name colors.
Member (grey)
Elder (gold)
Artist (purple)
Designer (purple)
Beta Tester (blue)
Coder (blue)
Mod (green)
Admin (red)
Founder (red)

this is good, but what if people have multiple roles (like
myself: I'm an admin, but also (as far as I know, the only)
coder...

You keep a main member group which bests represents you then you

oh, yeah I forgot you can be a member of multiple groups, but
the coloring won't work out-it's either one or the other with
the forum software (i.e. when Emp went from green to red) It
seems only forum permissions criss-cross.

If you have multiple positions, then all your titles would be
displayed, but you name color would be determined by your
highest ranking.
So if you are both coder and admin, you would be Admin/Coder
(red)
And if someone was an elder and an artist, they would be
Artist/Elder (purple)

well, what we could do is set our custom title to be whatever
our positions are...I'd have to test and see what the forum says
when you're a member of multiple groups, but I think it does
indeed take the one with most privileges

If the system allows us to implement this, we will end up with a
much better ranking/name color system :D
