Elements

So here's how elements could work: :)
Each species of Auramon has two elemental types. Each type has
several 'ability trees' which determine what abilities an
Auramon can use. There are thirteen elements in total, each with
one strength and one weakness. Types are ineffective against
others with the same element.
Fire > Toxic > Light > Shadow > Mind > Mech > Physical > Ice >
Earth > Electric > Air > Plant > Water > fire > etc.
OR
Fire > Toxic > Light > Shadow > Mind > Physical > Metal > Ice >
Earth > Electric > Air > Plant > Water > fire > etc.
Rainbow and aura will be ability trees for the element of light.
Bug and steel do not exist. Instead, they are represented by
plant and mech/metal respectively. There is no central element.
Let me know what you think ;)

So you want to know what I think, huh? Well, I'll tell you what
I think: "Yes!" :D

..... QueenMuser and I created the Steel and Bug elements, and
some of our Auramon are of those elements! How could we change
these?
Steezard (STEEL-Toxic)
Komarblood (BUG-Shadow)
Magnetar (Electric-STEEL)
Physical --> STEEL --> Ice ..... Air --> BUG --> Plant

Uff, even if Plant is vegetal world and Bug animal world, you
decided to make them equal...
Ok, I accept it, even if it doesn't make any sense for me (I
originally put Bug between Plant and Air because bugs do harm to
plants and a strong wind can blow them away).
And in reality, how could mind powers control something
mechanic? How could machine or robotic mechanism block even a
kick or a punch? It doesn't have any sense.
For this reason I created Steel/Metal, between Ice and Physical,
because a sharp metallic tool or weapon could break the ice into
fragments, while very strong physical moves could break also
thick iron bars (martial arts masters can do it)

And the most important question: What will be the central
elements? I thought about the idea of one element which doesn't
do or take extra damage, and one which is stronger against all
elements but does more harm to this element itself...

Well, I guess we could rename the element "metal", and place it
in between physical and ice. :) But it would still have the same
abilities and the same icon.
I don't think central elements are a good idea. All of the
elements should have strengths and weaknesses :D

In fact the second type of central element HAS a weakness: it's
weak against itself (that means, it's needed a central element
auramon to defeat more easily a central element auramon)

I have to agree with Emp about the central element. While we
could make it weak against itself, it'd practically make the
game 'one-sided' if one element was superior to all others, and
that particular element was hard to find (due to the esper being
rare) IMO.
