The way it was 1979 Webster

This 1979 Webster hotsaw racing and interview with Sven Johnson
video is a blast from the past.
Pay attention to how they used to do the cold start back then.

I noticed the double pumper HL sticking out front of that saw
Sven had .I couldn't make out what engine but suspect a big West
Bend .
Whatever it was that carb placement through the stuffer box was
typical of the ways they set up the West Bend kart engines .
Fact I stumbled across the West Bend 580 my youngest brother had
on a mini bike which has the same set up but it's not a double
pumper .Nostalga perhaps but it wouldn't stand a chance against
a modern engine .Neat to see the old vid clips though . ;D
