Poulan 2175 wild thing 36cc

I dont normally buy plastic saws. But was picking up a PP295 and
he sold this to me as non runner.
Also picked up the wild thing 2175. It says 36cc.
Is it really 36cc one or is it going to come back 42cc like
2375?

2175 wild thing with 36cc tag on back did indeed come back 36cc
doing bore stroke. Was hoping come back to 42cc too.

Checking IPL's it was type 1-5 36cc and 6 and up 42cc.
Least I learned something on the little guy. Buying it to just
check and see if really 36cc. This one was type 2.
You know you want it. ;)
I had always heard the early 36cc poulan saws were indeed 36cc.
Not 42cc. So I bought this one with the other plastic one I
wanted just to see if so.
Measured bore and stroke yesterday and it is 36cc. Type 1-5 by
IPL is 36cc by ring used and 6 up was then 42cc.
Most of the plastic poulans I had over the years that would say
35cc 38cc were all 42cc. So I just always thought the early 36cc
would be same.
This one 1999 Type-2 Poulan 2175 wild thing. I always liked the
2375 42cc one the best of all the wild things. If had to have
one.

She lives. I picked up last year as non runner for 5.
I was curious if it was 36cc for real and did bore stroke back
then. This one was 36cc 1-5 are.
Got more in carb kit and echo oem lines.
Drilled the tank for 3x5 too.
These saws use trimmer line size fuel lines. Like . .080x.140
I drill the tank hole bigger to squeeze bigger lines like the
others on the saw. 3mmx5mm 3/32x 3/16
Did the 295 same way.

Last check overs before buttoning up.
Glad I did. While going through things had some kind of nylon
plastic crap all wrapped at oil pump area. Glad noticed that as
it will bind pump and take out gear when gets in bind.
Poulan 2175 36cc. 1999 type 2.
Stihl 63PS on it for test cutting later.
Lines and carb kit too.
Loaner saw, root cutter, or sell to local for trimming someday.
Still the wild thing bar and crap chain but set that chain
aside.

I got this 36cc wild thing last winter if I recall right.
Was just a curiosity thing.
But anyhow I needed some small apple wood chunks for a small
smoker.
So I decided to see how it would act after the new oem echo 3x5
lines and carb kit.
Running full chisel 3/8LP chain.
If you want to make these little guys cut close 20% faster with
just a chain change alone.
Ran perfect was able to set down leave idling like I do while
putting in new branches into the holder to cut.
Call her good to go.
Now if a local homeowner needs a trim saw I got another to add
to the to many plastic saws on shelf.
🤦‍♂️ 😋😂

Guy trying to say all poulan plastic clamshell saws only pull
80-100 psi. He says these were all good runners too.
I was like no wayyyyyyy using that Canuck accent.
I showed him common 150psi even on 36cc non strato and 165psi on
40cc strato.
I could have done others too but really wasnt worth wasting any
more time on it.
