That second one is nuts. They are more tricky to replicate
because of the pin riveted in place. A while back someone spoke
with Joe Salva about replicating these. I'll see if I can
contact Joe about these to see if we're any closer now...

Probably the same guy I talked to on AS in PM's about some other
poulan aftermarket stuff. or maybe we have a 3rd guy now going
to do up some AFM. He said min order is like 500.
This was a part I wasnt interested in so I never said anything.
;)

Sugar Creek Supply or Sugar Creek Saws. Can't remember if he's
registered here. He's on House of Homelite and
Chainsawcollectors.

OK I know SCS. He had hit me up for pics for decals before.
There is another guy on AS, thinking of doing afm poulan stuff.
Besides the guy here making afm poulan parts already just not
released.

Can you fellows advise on the correct ordering of diaphragm and
gasket on this series? I am doing my first one. Service manual
dated 1984 states the correct ordering when reassembling is
gasket against pump body, diaphragm, then cover. This pump had
not been touched since the factory based on the overspray
pattern and it is actually opposite, with diaphragm against
body, gasket, then cover. The impulse channel cast into the
cover is large and there is evidence of collapsing and puckering
around that large channel. I gather from searching on AS this
can lead to crank pressure loss.
As it stands, I troweled on Motoseal to fill the collapsed area
in the gasket and set the puckered section of the diaphragm in
additional sealant. I did not reverse the ordering as indicated
in the service manual.
Any definitive advice I could follow?
Thanks gents,
Cory
