| those prices seem pretty good to me. Is that for the complete | |
| power head buyer just has to assemble? | |

| yeah complete ready to assemble power head | |
| someone mentioned that it is about the same price as a used OEM | |
| saw, which is probably true | |
| I envisioned this as an Ebay project because I have sold rebuild | |
| kits there for really decent money that were not complete saws | |
| but guys really like them. | |
| For me building a saw from new clean parts is "easier" in that | |
| you don't have to tear everything down, figure out which parts | |
| are broken, worn , etc, clean everything and reassemble. | |
| I certainly am not knocking an OEM saw, I have bought plenty new | |
| and used. Local guys like the 660 builder, fun and easy and | |
| profitable. | |

| You got any pics of built saws to show off for us? | |
| That way I can show guys in the shop that might want to try a | |
| new aftermarket over a used rebuilt. | |

| husky 350 353 51 55 etc use them. My most common ring used here. | |
| 45mm 1.5mm Thinking my 590 and 500 45mm open bore used them | |
| too. | |
| Was just trying to go to you instead of NWS to keep it local. | |
| The rings are the main part of that order. Then the rest of the | |
| oem order going to JSE. | |

| Also 254 used that 45mm ring. | |
| I was able to put another order in with you anyway Dave. 4th | |
| place in 2 days. | |
| Those aftermarket decomps been holding up ok? | |
| Also got me the bright orange shirt this time too. Just | |
| because my wife thinks I am so sexy in my bright highlight | |
| yellow lime green poulan shirt, LOL NOT! Did it just because | |
| she says it blinds her when I wear it. LMAO. | |

| I was able to add those Cabers to my order along with the 353 | |
| pistons that sold out :) | |
| appreciate the business | |
| On the AM decomp valves, if it is good when you install it, you | |
| will be fine forever, about 5 or 6 out of every hundred seem to | |
| seep right from the get go. | |
| Jimmy in NC, told me he uses a valve seat refinisher to burnish | |
| the inside of the "dish" and then has no problems. I don't have | |
| one of those and would probably hurt myself if I did. | |
| I just sell them knowing there will be a certain amount of | |
| failures amongst them and that when taking in to account the | |
| price differential between these and OEM and the fact that | |
| Farmertec never balks at replacing dead parts for me, they are | |
| still a great deal. | |
| The other part that is a little on the iffy side for me is the | |
| chain adjuster assembly for the 024-660, it is stiff and about | |
| half-assed machined. If you install it completely with a good | |
| gob of grease in the guts and then work it from end to end with | |
| a large flat head screwdriver they are fine. It is as though | |
| you are finishing the threads manually between the gears. A | |
| little bit of a pain in the butt, but again the price | |
| differential is huge, so a lot of us use them. | |

| In the past, people have lapped decompression valves as | |
| automobile valves are sometimes lapped. | |
| If you use Loctite Clover green can valve grinding compound, it | |
| must be the finest grade you can find.(#5 or #3 if you can find | |
| it?) | |
| Some people just use white or red rubbing compound. | |
