| had a couple extra beers after my day.........338...first i run | |
| this saw.....oiler adjustment screw was just setting on top w/ | |
| adjuster still attached .......looked like a piece was broken | |
| off at the bottom of the threads......like i say......will check | |
| out in am.......clearer head......lol | |

| Yes.......this is the back-up.....Will these pieces need to be | |
| separated before assembling? Seems like I can grab a couple | |
| threads.....but didn't want to force it....also, need to know | |
| the reasoning for the chips......thinking someone may have | |
| forced it some way. | |

| That should be just the dentents for oiler adjustment. Looks | |
| like it just come unscrewed to far. Like when you back out you | |
| feel 3 notches so to speak. | |
| I dont know if you can get it started and tightened down without | |
| removing the motor or not. See the area for a socket or wrench, | |
| just guessing. Never had to go deep in a 338 yet. I'd sure try | |
| just doing it with a screwdriver first though. | |
| Manual says just screw in tighten down. | |
