Impulse Line

Trying to save the info in one place for what we are using for
impulse lines. I know there is stihl trimmer fuel line, echo
fuel line and dolmar fuel line. Lets try and get the part
numbers etc saved. Maybe the size etc. Any info is good info.
Also any other redneck impulse line materials you have used with
good success.

Dolmar 965 452 660 is a one meter length of Viton impulse line
as used on Makita-Dolmars. This number does not come up on any
particular illustrated parts list. But ultimately from some of
the big distributors, when you enter the correct number for the
proper length (2 1/2" - 3") impulse line, it will be superseded
to this number. It is 3mm X 5.6 mm. It is sort of a reddish
brown and has EPA-MSX-FA stamped all along it from one end to
the other. The prices I've seen vary from $3 to $11 depending on
where you try to buy it.
You get a lot of variation when trying to find Dolmar impulse
line. In fact it is downright fuzzy. Here's what I get when I
try to order Dolmar 7900 impulse line (65mm), it gets superseded
at Edge and Engine who deal with Atlantic Power as a
distributor. As you can see, The number stays the same but you
get 1 meter . . .
FUEL LINE (1METER), PS-401

If you enter the first number (965 452 660) I mentioned in
Google, you get hits also but not at Edge and Engine. I ordered
this number at the local Dolmar dealer who uses Central Power
and it came through OK.

When I went to replace the impulse line on this Stihl MS-270
(1128-122-6500), the Dealer didn't show it in the system. He
gave me a foot of hose; thick, black stuff. The only markings
on it are "H235R5 0712/1001 A." That marking is from one end
to the other. This place is also a Husky Dealer. I suspect
this was Husky hose, possibly 544324906 ?
Looks and feels like a good hose for the application.

Most of the HVA saws I mess with use 3mm ID 5mm OD line. I think
the key is the size and that you cannot squeeze it closed
between your fingers and that it MUST BE A REALLY TIGHT FIT ON
THE NIPPLES.

[/quote]I was looking in the MS270 parts list and cannot see
anything shown or listed for an impulse line. There is a line
(item 23) with the number 1128 122 6500 that I have no clue as
to what else it could be?

I get most of my line from eBay. I have a variety of sizes and
I always look for rubber line only.
