Been looking for a new air filter for my 166 for some time now
with no luck, so lashed up this cone filter and inlet manifold,
not pretty but makes a hell of a difference to performance.

Cool on the v stack build. I had new NOS filters but let them
go when I got out of the 166 stuff. If I come across the
filters again I will let you know.
Oh question, did you have the flat 2 piece air filter that fit
under cover or did you have the K&N set up V stack ones with cut
out AF cover. Those were both used on the 166.

I see your AF cover now for flat filters. You can get a
modified cylinder cover and af cover just for the style you went
to. ( I had them but no longer have that either). Sorry.

Was the cylinder cover all one piece with the air filter pipe?

Going to say no, but memory is sketchy now, been awhile. It
was just cut out and modified for the K&n. Ill try and find
some pics. I know I dont have the cover I had or pics anymore.

I'm thinking the air filter cover was tack welded and cut out to
the cylinder cover too. On the k&n ones.
