Let's talk about books.

I've started this thread as most of us are writers & thought
we'd like to talk about books. This is for all the general
chit-chat about books. We can have a laugh here & be laid-back
or get deeper if we wish. We can talk about our favourite books,
what we like to read on our holidays or in bed, what genre of
books we like to write or who our favourite authors are &
discuss new books that have come out or books we have bought
whether they are old ones we've wanted for ages or have just
been brought out or we can discuss what we are currently
reading.

Quite a lot of people do. My sister does for 1. Maybe, it's also
because you couldn't get away with doing what they do in books.
Lol.

I bought Jenny's book to read... been busy so haven't started it
yet... but it's that first I'll have read from the kind of
genre.
Generally read a lot more non-fiction books, like history,
biographies and stuff like that usually.
Used to read a lot more non-fiction when I was younger... liked
stuff by Tolkien, CS Lewis...
For me, Kindle is now king. I never thought I'd get reading
Kindle books on a handheld but I hardly buy any paper or
hardbacks now - all digital. I don't mean a Kindle reader, just
the Kindle App on Android.

That's great. I hope you enjoy it. I like Jenny's poems best. I
mainly read classics, history, poetry, biographies & books on
horses though I sometimes read Catherine Cookson & Lyn Andrews &
I also like the horse whisperer & Danielle Steel's palomino &
fine things. I'm trying to sort my books out but keep getting
ideas for short stories, poems & more innovative pieces so have
to write them down & then people buy me more books so it's a
never-ending job. I was naughty yesterday & bought a box-set of
Catherine Cookson's. I'm supposed to be sorting my Lyn Andrews
out at the moment. I had an e-reader but I found out that
although they take up less space & you can just delete books you
don't like the battery only lasted me a day & ran out when I was
at an interesting part & I lost my page & either re-read it or
skipped it so I went back to normal books.

What like, "Black Beauty"?

I do still read Black Beauty sometimes but class that as a
classic. I also read the horse whisperer & palomino. When I say
books on horses I mean about the anatomy of horses & ponies &
books about their breeds etc.

Most recently picked up a book by Doreen Virtue
Archangels & Ascended Masters
It's her guide and interaction with / and how to interact or ask
for guidance.
She travelled to different places to be more open to her
contacts
What I've done lately inclose my eyes and flip the book and will
open up where I require guidance and guides me for the day
Quite cool
