CacheWalker SuperBike Challenge 2017
By: Site Admin Date: January 11, 2017, 11:19 am
---------------------------------------------------------
This is the place for all discussion (unless you think
your point deserves its own topic) for the
[shadow=purple,left]CacheWalker SuperBike Challenge
2017[/shadow]
The TB race will begin at 0:00 February 1st, and will
end on 0:00 December 25th.
Participants are asked to attach toy motorbikes ('SuperBikes')
to a Travel Bug. If you have trouble finding a SuperBike but
would like to take part, let us know!
The Rules:
[li]The race officially begins at 0:00 on February 1st 2017.
However, TBs can be added to the race at any point after this
start date.[/li]
[li]The race is on until 0:00 December 25th 2017[/li]
[li]The TB with the most miles on this date will be declared the
2017 Championship Winner at the 2017 Twixmas Bash (apparently
there will be one!)[/li]
[li]CacheWalkers may not move their own SuperBikes along.[/li]
[li]Therefore, TBs must be dropped & collected by different
cachers (if moved on by the same cacher only the FIRST jump will
be counted).[/li]
[li]The owner of the TB must not be present with the cacher
who's moving it IF they both visit the same cache together for
the drop. [/li]
[li]'Discover/Visted' logs do not count.[/li]
[li]CacheWalkers can only have ONE TB each in the race (unless a
couple/family are wishing to have their own).[/li]
[li]If your TB goes missing YOU ARE OUT OF THE RACE - you cannot
re-release another SuperBike with your copy tag as part of this
year's race. [/li]
The official TB-run page for the race is now up and running here
- CWSBC 2017
http://www.tb-run.com/show-race.php?run=CWSBC2017
How to join the race:
Please email [email protected] or Griff
Grof via his profile with the public Travel Bug ID (TBxxxx),
that you find on the 'Details' page of your TB on
Geocaching.com. He will provide you with the password to join
the race (which might be posted here instead if people want?)
There no limit for the number of participants.
Please note, you can only take part if your TB has a SuperBike
attached to it! (Hopefully you can find one easily but let us
know if you can't and we can mail one out to you!)
Therefore, you can still request to take part after the start
date, but the sooner the better/further!
Please name your TB in this format: CWSBC 2017 - [your caching
name]
[shadow=blue, left]Let the race (and discussion) begin -
3,2,1... GO![/shadow]

We have just got our bike this morning - so ready to go! So you

I've activated my TB (a police motorbike) and emailed details to
GG. I'll be dropping it off in a motorway mayhem cache
tomorrow.

I've just added you both to the race, I managed to change it to
adding TBs manually like before so there's no complication with
passwords now @hogshunters.

The race has been very quiet so far. I haven't got round to
getting a bike for it :D.
It's a shame that we didn't have something sorted for Twixmas or
a March event to properly launch the race.
