Each year, the GAGB intends to produce a new geocoin depicting a |
|
location of significance or distinction within one of Britain's |
|
National Parks. Members of GAGB are invited to submit pictures |
|
to be judged for the following year's geocoin design. |

Well publicised... |
|
1. All entrants must be Members of GAGB at the closing date |
|
(31st October 2014). |
|
As today is 11th Oct 2014, and this is the first I've seen of |
|
it. |
|
I'm on the GAGB facebook page, and read the GAGB web |
|
site/forums, despite the fact they are not used much. |

Griff, have to be honest I only scanned through the competition |
|
details very quickly. I didn't see anything about website and |
|
forum header, just "The winner will receive a finished geocoin, |
|
and have their picture displayed on the front cover of Seeker |
|
magazine." |
|
B&R, I only learned of the competition just before I posted it |
|
here and at CC forum. I didn't see any info on it at the GAGB |
|
forum. I learned of it through their twitter feed. I feel the |
|
GAGB should always post info firstly on their own forum, as I |
|
feel Groundspeak should do so on theirs before putting info out |
|
through all the other social media platforms, even if the forums |
|
are not posted to much of late... not instead of, just firstly. |
