| Kildanes Walk | |

| 3 caches, 2.5 miles. Park at N 51 59.674 W 001 47.815 for the | |
| walk | |
| This walk is in an area that means a lot to me, and will forever | |
| be in my heart. There has been a series of caches along this | |
| route twice, and earlier this year we saw the demise of it (for | |
| good?). But I still wanted to share it, because the area is so | |
| special to me, and it is a nice walk. A couple of hills, mixed | |
| terrain but lovely views all around! You will pick up #9, #3 and | |
| #8, in that order, left from the second incarnation of the | |
| series. The whole route is well marked. | |
| The walk: | |
| Park at the above coords. Walk in an easterly direction towards | |
| the bridleway sign. Turn right, and follow the track up here | |
| enjoying the views over the valley. Turn right through the gate | |
| again, up the muddy track next to the wooded slopes. Step over | |
| the stile, and walk diagonally across the field to the next | |
| gate. Through there, and walk strait through the next field | |
| enjoying the views across the Kildanes valley. Turn right up the | |
| gate, and follow the track. Keep going on that track from now | |
| on, taking in the brilliant views on your left. After a couple | |
| of minutes, you'll have crossed through two fields and will be | |
| starting to descend downhill. There will be a gate on your | |
| right, turn in, and walk up the slope with the plantation now on | |
| your right. At the top, turn left through the next gate and | |
| follow the stone laid track. Go through the gate at the end of | |
| it, and into the barnyard towards the next gate. Cross that | |
| field (which could have horses or sheep in it) and follow that | |
| footpath through more plantation after, and down a sheer slope, | |
| where you will reach the road after hopping over the stile at | |
| the end. Turn right, and walk back towards the parking coords. | |
| A nice little walk ;D | |
