Play Through: Discussion - Rediscover MQ
By: Starflame Date: August 30, 2015, 12:19 pm

Hey All! So I hope to be starting this either this week or next
week, just have two quick questions first.
Do you want the classes in the academy to be a set assignment
for a week?
Do you want the release date to be the same as RDF?
Edit: One more question: Do you want the various jobs around the
main street to be part of the set assignments, or a "do on your
own" type thing? If we do a "do on your own", then the level of
people will vary a lot, but up to you lot!

Since I literally picked MQ up on my own with a new character
recently to help with this. I can say that going by release date
might be bad. I would say go by availability in the beginning
and then move to just world sections in order of the mission
Log.
Also I think we could push through and cover all of Soluna City
besides the main story stuff in a week. But that's doggedly
going for it in some areas(Energy Blades 101). But that's just
my opinion from the past three days of work in Soluna only.

Yeah, some of MQ's stuff is loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.
(COugh Westion COugh)
And E-blades are important. I think the rest of the shop quests
in Soluna can be somewhat ignored, or at least left as
suggestions.

The hospital quests(over all) aren't as ignorable as you might
think. The other store quests can give out a lot of the money
we'll need early on as well as the levels so that we can have
the stats needed to survive some of the later areas. Though
ultimately doing any of the quests(lines) or even all of RMQ or
RDF are optional so suggestions would work for all the extra
quests except the hospital and maybe the museum(finishing the
museum opens up something after the Kingadent story line).

Quests are up! After talking with a few people, the jobs really
do provide their own storylines (not to mention good mechs,
energy blades, and xp), so we ARE going to do them. I don't like
the idea of just saying "Complete the Pizzeria job, that's it
for the week!" so we'll be breaking them up into smaller chunks.
Let me know what you all think!
Official question for discussion: What were your initial
impressions the first time you played MQ?
For next week: We'll be in Soluna for a bit, what with classes
and work (sounds so much like RL :p ), but we will also be
choosing our house!

My first impression?
"Mechs" + "Battle" = AWESOMENESS!
Also how about the Mecha Piloting class? It's basically stat
training :)

My first impression that I had back when this came out was "This
is awesome" then I started to need a lot of grinding to get
levels. Which is why I started to only play it every so often.

And this weeks quests are up! Actual storyline quests will begin
with Warlic next week.
Question for the week: Which house did you pick and why?

And quests posted!
I added a "hints" section to the quest area, let me know if
people would prefer that here.
DIscussion for the week: Your house and why (again :p ), and
which Cysero do you prefer, MQ, AQ, or DF?
I'm in Mystraven, and I actually like Sys-zero the best :p
