Phylacteries are not touched upon very often in Artix
Entertainment games, as far as I know, so I'd understand not
having known about it beforehand. Dx
Which is strange,
considering that Sek-Duat's use of phylacteries is strongly
suggested in the Light Orb Saga, as he could be defeated but not
killed.
I didn't really know too much about it myself
until I looked further into it.
They're actually used, not by necromancers, but by liches to
house a portion of their life energy. So long as the phylactery
exists, a lich cannot die; they can only be temporarily
destroyed, upon which the lich will reform themselves. This
concept likely served as inspiration for Horcuxes in the
universe of Harry Potter, which is why I mentioned it earlier.

That sounds like a joke Xan would enjoy.
I have a three old riddles that could do. *grins* It should be
fun.
What goes to London and strikes every house?
What goes to London yet never moves?
What flies to London without wings?

The Luftwaffe? D:
Also, to revitalize this thread, I have invented a riddle:
Golden by day,
Blackened by night,
Sweet death gives way
While I shun light.
What am I?

The what? :-\
As for your riddle... For some reason I'm reminded of 'Fool's
Gold' and I don't know why because that obviously ain't it.
Though irritatingly it feels... familiar. Kinda like a song that
you heard once as a child and are hearing again years later and
the tune is familiar to you. Yea, I don't know. Maybe I'll have
a decent guess in the future.

The Nazi Air Force during World War II. They bombed Britain
for... what, two straight months? But the British held on and
the Germans eventually gave up.

Faerdin: I've a tentative guess at
your riddle, sir! So far, all ish having is "the Mind" or "the
Soul", though I'm not too confident in either of them.

@Fae: I don't suppose the answer is a vampire? Or a different
kind of undead, maybe?
