[GUIDE] Medical Scenarios & How should you react?

Properly Role-playing as a Doctor and
Reacting to it
This is dedicated to all those doctors who find that they only
know applying bandages (or gauze) and wish to advance up to
increase their knowledge about medicine. This is also for those
people who don't know how to react to operations being
performed. In here, I'll try my best to explain different
medical scenarios, what a doctor can do, and what YOU can do as
a player. lets go.
[b][u]The Basics: What equipment should I always
roleplay as present in my medical bag?
In a medical bag, there should be (but not limited to) gauze,
rubbing alcohol (or whatever antiseptic you prefer) forceps,
cotton balls, gloves (you should ALWAYS have this, so that an
infection doesn't spread to your inmate patient.) reflex hammer,
tongue depressors, stethoscope (if you have to not put your ear
on the patient's chest) breathing mask (for patients who have
difficulty in breathing, or roleplay as having asthma or other
lung-related diseases) pulse oximeter (if you absolutely have to
check the patient's blood on the fly.) flashlight (to check
patients with concussions whether their brain is dis-functional
or functional and multi-purposes.) test samples (for drug-tests)
and a drug test machine (I use the Drager Drugtest 5000, however
you can use something different.)
I don't understand, what do all these do?
To put it very briefly..
Gauze is a wound dressing, after you have used an antiseptic to
clean a wound (such as a scRape) you can use gauze to wrap
around the wound, thus preventing harmful germs in the air to
enter the wound
Rubbing alcohol (or any other antiseptic) is used for destroying
germs in the wound, thus cleaning it; which is required before
dressing any wound.
Forceps are used to remove small things in the human body, such
as rubber bullets. Required if you have to remove a bullet from
a patient.
Cotton ball is used for cleaning wounds; you apply rubbing
alcohol (or any other antiseptic) on it and then pat the wound
with the cotton ball.
Gloves are used to prevent harmful bacteria in your hands to
spread to the patient. You may choose whether to roleplay this
or not, but if you wish to look like an expert, by all means;
use it.
Reflex hammer, although carrying it is optional, it's used to
check deep-tendon reflexes. Required if you need to check
whether the reflexes in a tendon work.
Tongue Depressors is needed when you have to see blockages in a
patients mouth. For example, blood they may be coughing up, or
anything stuck in it.
Stethoscopes are used to hear the internal functions of the
body. Widely used to check heartbeats.
Breathing masks are for patients who have their windpipe
destroyed, and thus need another form of breathing. It is also
for asthmatic roleplayers or people with other lung-diseases.
Pulse Oximeters are not commonly used right at the scene, but it
is used whether to check if the blood is getting the oxygen that
it needs.
Flashlights are important; if a person roleplays as having a
concussion, you have to open their eyes and flash the light into
them to see if the brain still works, it is also used for dark
areas.

I'll be updating this topic tomorrow likely, with different
medical situations, such as a gunshot, burns.
Give your honest opinions, and feel free to criticize me.

There aren't ranks in the DoC doctor faction( i forgot the name,
lol. ) of whether being an ALS or BLS. So I assumed that we
carry doctor bags (google it). Also, we're in a prison, so yeah.
