Lol, I save my blobs for everything and all of my

All devices with new boot-roms need to have their blobs saved to
downgrade to a stock iOS firmware. I have an iPod touch 2g MC
model which has a new boot-rom and I can't downgrade to iOS 3
normally but I can use a program like snowbreeze to downgrade
it. I don't know if that would work with other iOS's though so
it is a good idea to save the SHSH blobs.

Never knew what Blobs meant fully before so basically if you
saved your Blobs of ios5 and then upgrade to ios6 you can easily
downgrade with the Blob thing back to ios5?

I don't fully understand it either LOL. To my knowledge, I think
it just means you need to have saved blobs to downgrade to an
Apple firmware which I don't even use because I always use
custom firmwares. Can't you just put the device into Pwned DFU
mode and Shift+Restore to a downloaded ipsw?

Yep, that's exactly what it means. You could make a custom
firmware for iOS 5 and try to downgrade it like that without
blobs but I can't promise it would work.

Well you probably never had to bother with it cause your device
(iPhone 3g) doesn't need to have the blobs saved.

I have a 2g mc and I go back and forth. Use sn0wbreeze and iReb
to restore to your custom 3.1.3 firmware. It works fine.
