That's a lot of coaches. Time will tell if they are any good. I
am in show me mode right now after the decade of incompetence
from McCaskey Hall (it shall remain McCaskey Hall until the
Bears truly prove and EARN the name Halas Hall)....

The Bears are releasing veteran defensive end DeMarcus Walker,
Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports.
Releasing Walker and tight end Gerald Everett will save the
Bears more than $10 million in salary cap space. Walker was
scheduled to make $5.2 million in base salary and count $5.916
million against the cap.
He started all 17 games for the Bears last season but totaled
only 47 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 16 quarterback hits.
The Broncos made Walker a second-round pick in 2017, and he
spent four seasons in Denver, one in Houston, one in Tennessee
and two in Chicago. He now heads back to the free agent market
ahead of the opening of free agency.
Walker, 30, signed a three year, $21 million contract with the
Bears in 2023 when he last was a free agent. He had $15.65
million in guaranteed money.

Unfortunately, Everett signing was as bad as Claypool was.
That's what scares me about the blind spots on Poles- drafting
Kiran "OMG he can't play" and thinking he had settled the
offensive line. How in the HELL does a former Oline (albeit
failure in the pros) be so BAD at evaluating line talent so far
?
I'm firmly in the show me this year or get punted into the
lake.....

One of the Bears podcasts has come out and said she spoke to
someone close to Caleb and Caleb said Waldron didnt watch film
with him. Now theres two sides to every story and missing
information but that seems really bad to me. What was Waldron
thinking? Its good hes gone.

Might be over the cap though. Maybe draft a speedster that
Johnson likes and sign Tim Patrick dirt cheap who knows the
system. Mack or Young on a 2 year deal would be a nice option
while drafting an edge under the watchful evaluation of Coach
Allen while hoping that Booker steps up.

It seems like a no brainer that we can get TWO OFFENSIVE LINE
and ONE DEFENSIVE END in the first three picks in the draft so
is there
any real need to go dumpster diving for overpriced free agents
?
