inspiration needed for bead project

My almost 95 year old, wheelchair bound Mom is in an
independent living home. Highlight of her week is Tuesday and
Wednesday afternoon beading classes. Mom has made necklaces for
all the daughters, daughter-in-laws, and grand daughters. They
have been worn by some of us (me!) and quietly put in a drawer
by others. Now she is pestering me about what to make for the
great grandchildren. There are 6 little girls age 2--7 and 6
little boys age almost 2--4. I'm stumped for the boys. She
made little bracelets that just are not wearable for little
boys. The two in CO might want necklaces............but not the
two in a NYC religious neighborhood.
Any ideas what to string together for little boys?

I would be loath to give beads to a 2 year old for safety
reasons.
But for a slightly older boy...I know paracord-style bracelets
are popular with both boys and girls. Could she make something
that looks like that?

She could make zipper pulls for their backpacks! I made a bunch
for my DD using lobster-claw clasps and instructions I found for
making beaded animals. She loves them because she can change
them up whenever she wants.
I imagine she could make a set for each boy in superhero colors?

There a lot of small paracord projects out there - the animals
can be zipper pulls or key chains.
There are also the friendship bracelets made out of embroidery
floss. No beads, and there are some fun patterns out there.
I'm not too sure about jewelry ideas for little boys, though.
When my son was that young, he didn't even care for the silicone
bracelets.

This isn't beads either, but mystery braid leather bracelets
have been a hit with little boys and girls in my extended
family. There are lots of online instructions, and even kits if
you want to start with leather that's already cut. Similarly,
just plain old braided leather bracelets are a good option, too,
and beads can be incorporated easily.

I love the idea of backpack pulls. even for the two year old,
their parents can hold it until they are old enough for it. But
having something from grandma/greatgrandma is something they can
treasure. I have beaded things, and other crafts, made by older
relatives that I simply treasure - even decades after they
passed.

And attach them to a pin backing, so they can put them on their
coat or jacket. Or on their backpack. Or on the crown of a
baseball cap.
You might be able to find a way to glue them to the bill of a
baseball cap.

My mother used to make animal mittens with beads and/or buttons
sewn on for faces, with yarn whiskers, ears were just outlined
with contrasting thread. Dollar stores usually carry plain
mittens by the fall, I think).
