I did make the boeuf bourgignon and it was served last night. |
|
While I was setting it up to marinate on Wednesday afternoon it |
|
occurred to me that I had not made it since that disastrous |
|
office potluck a dozen years ago, so I was a little |
|
apprehensive. And -- thanks to Covid -- inflation drove up the |
|
prices of key ingredients so that it cost me almost as much to |
|
make a third of the quantity. |
|
It smelled exactly right when I put it back cooked into the |
|
fridge on Thursday afternoon. |
|
It was a hit, so I slept well last night. |
