| no definition to me as I stood there I looked like an immovable | |
| mountain... I reached back over my shoulder for the haft of the | |
| 30" wide double bearded axe gripping it in my right hand as I | |
| pull it free from the sheath as I lift it over my shoulder I let | |
| the haft slide till my grip tightens about the half way point of | |
| the haft... as I reach and grab a Y slotted helm and placed it | |
| upon my head and secured it firmly with the chin strap as I let | |
| the axe hang there in my right hand as I looked at you from | |
| under that helm | |
| as I square up leading with the left foot foward my right | |
| slightly back and planted in the basic L stance knees slightly | |

| axe and reconsiders my own weapon choice in the light axes but | |
| done is done- | |
| I swiftly close the distance to 3 feet between our lead toes in | |
| a shuffling forward step that maintains body position as the axe | |
| in my left hand swings out from where it is held at waist level, | |
| keeping parallel to the ground, just over waist height swinging | |
| from my right to left aiming the blade at the` outside of your | |
| left wrist trying if nothing else to push that arm over across | |
| in front of you and hinder use of the great axe | |
| -before bringing that second axe in my right hand in a high | |
| arcing swing, just a slight slant towards my left aiming for the | |
| top of your left shoulder blade, the angle such that if it | |
| passed clear through you it would come out just above your belt | |

| says to Truls RohkA Man Without : I seen your movement and the | |
| closing of the distance to 3' as I stepped forward with my right | |
| foot at the sametime swinging the great axe out to my right with | |
| the face flat as I aim to deflect your left axe with the face of | |
| the Great axe as I plant my right foot | |
| I then swing the axe right to left aimed low below your left | |
| knee at the sametime lift my left arm up to connect with your | |
| right forearm to stop your swing for my left shoulder | |
| He closed to 3', you stepped forward, so its what, 2 - 2 1/2ish | |
| now. My understanding and I could be wrong is 2HAxes double | |
| sided would range between 3-5 feet. Anything longer was | |
| generally a pole-arm. Anyways, keep in mind distance compared to | |
| weapon length. I think you're too close to be efficient | |
| attacking or defending at this point. | |
| Also, if you're using a weapon that's so heavy you want to | |
| always keep it moving forward, instead of moving it left to | |
| block then right to attack or something, describe it as moving | |
| it in a sideways figure eight sort of deal, like the infinity | |
| symbol, otherwise all the start stops, you're not gonna be fast | |
| enough. | |
| Just can't see the size of the 30" head, and length of the axe | |
| allow you to work between you both to block at all. or the 2h | |
| axe being quick enough to beat his smaller 1h 6" blade to your | |
| shoulder. I'm calling it here. | |

| My first swing of the left axe deflected, I continue the swing | |
| keeping the movement fluid, rotating at the left elbow to bring | |
| the axe in a clockwise circular motion swinging between us to | |
| end up swinging outward at shin level, letting the axe handles | |
| meet, slide, and bind up as axe head meets axe head and our arms | |
| struggle, me pushing outwards in defense and you swinging | |
| inwards for my leg | |
| -As your left arm stops my right swing keeping the right axe | |
| from cleaving your shoulder, I jerk my right arm downwards, | |
| bending at the elbow to slide the right held axe handle along | |
| your forearm as my fist clears your forearm, only inches needed | |
| now to bring the bottom "beard" of that axe head to come raking | |
| down across your left shoulder and down to hook your left arm | |
| trying to pull it out wide to your left and out of play- | |

| says to Truls RohkA Man Without : using the fact that the axe | |
| heads have met I twist the haft outward locking the axes in | |
| place and lift up as I slide my left foot behind me and leaving | |
| my right shoulder facing you taking my left shoulder out of | |
| range at the sametime for the beard of your axe to find my left | |
| shoulder | |
| as I then push forward and down on the haft looking to knock you | |
| off balance and gain a little control in this fight | |

| -Keeping my right foot in place I pivot on the ball of that | |

| behind me, in essence reversing my stance to a right side | |
| forward version of what I had first started with- | |
| -The whole time trying to keep contact of my left axe against | |
| yours as you thrust and adding in my right axe as I pivot, | |
| bringing it from high right (My PoV) to low left, raking across | |
| your front to add impetus to my left axe, striking your shaft | |

| =as I turn the haft again releasing the locked blade and pull | |

| says to Truls RohkA Man Without : lowering the axe as you back | |
| up quicly I swing it up and place it back to the sheath and | |
| remove the helm and nod laughing Well fought Truls.. | |
| Was a good spar, you both know what you're doing. But the better | |
| man at this moment was Truls. winner by disabling blow to | |
| Preachers neck/shoulder area in Rnd 1 | |
| Great fight, and in all honesty everything was super clear to | |
| me, except for a few of your words that I know cost me in spars. | |
| You both used "outside" a lot to describe how you twisted your | |
| wrist, or turned a blade or whatever. But you never mentioned | |
| outside what. I can assume you mean outside your own body, | |
| outside of his body, outside of his axe, which side is the out | |
| side? | |
| Added note: I never seen it done before with other judges, but | |
| Eotecles was giving a successful block to your opponent if you | |
| mentioned it successful in your post Truls, and you did it a few | |
| times in here, just something to watch for in case you get a | |
| judge who would call a shitty block clean because you accepted | |
| it. | |
| Hope that helped, any feedback or questions, board pm me or | |
| skype, I'm open for anything I may have missed or want clarify | |
| in my own judgment... | |
