| GPS WIRING HELP NEEDED | |
| By: Frank Black Date: July 30, 2016, 1:58 pm | |
| --------------------------------------------------------- | |
| thanks for reading, I'm leaving tomorrow for the COBDR... | |
| I'm considering wiring my GPS directly to the battery, which | |
| already has a cig lighter adapter wired directly to it as well. | |
| (I realize I will need to remember to shut the GPS off every | |
| time I stop.) | |
| I'm planning on using ring terminals to connect to the battery | |
| posts, on top of the ones that are already on there from the cig | |
| lighter adapter. | |
| Does anybody have any advice on this? I have a new battery and | |
| am off on a two week trip. Will probably take it off when I get | |
| back, but don't want to short anything out, blow fuses or god | |
| forbid catch on fire while I'm out there. | |
| I'm trying to keep it simple as I'm leaving tomorrow and am | |
| hoping this will not cause problems. | |
| Anybody have any experience with this on a 690? Thanks for any | |
| advice! | |

| There are two power free connections behind the headlight | |
| shroud. One switched & one not switched. | |

| It's no wonder that Vell has such a responsive membership that | |
| it can get there. | |
