Beach Ride Saturday Morning the 12th |

Riding the Beach from Sabine Pass To High Island (used to be HWY |
|
87) Meeting at my House in Port Arthur @7:30 am, should be |
|
rolling by 8:00. I will probably ride into Galveston for a |
|
burger on Seawall Blvd and 89th @Big Amos (great burgers at a |
|
reasonable price) cuz I just get a kick out of riding the Ferry. |

The ride was a lot of fun for me on the 690....not so much for |
|
my buddy on his 1190. We rode through deep sand, foot thick |
|
seaweed, cow trails and loose rocks with sand. I took 4 hrs to |
|
get from Sabine Pass to High island about 40 miles mostly |
|
because the KTM 1190 Adventure R was sinking into everything and |
|
was a battle the whole distance. The rear tire would just go |
|
down, he got stuck 2 or 3 times and fell 2 or 3 times....no |
|
problem for the 690 at any time. |
