What I and some others (though they seem few and far between) is
that Genesis is a polemic, not a scientific treatise. As such
it is incredibly rich in biblical truths that deserve to be
explored in more depth but instead, too many people get hung up
on trying to draw out of it a contradiction for the world view
of how life began.

[/quote]that was kind of my point, it is written like a polemic,
not a scientific treatise...to read it literally means we take
that into account.

It seems the literal reading of the Bible is being assaulted
from every side. One's worldview controls as with most
everything how one interprets the Bible.
Do you really--really believe in GOD/Jesus///If you truly
believe in His Gospel, then He can do anything including the
authorship of everyword in the Bible.
If you truly believe, then those words of Jesus cannot be
removed, changed, added, etc. Yet, the world specifically
America will declare war in the coming days/weeks against the
Christian.
Polemic Theology is s small relative ineffective theology.
Reading the Bible Literally, Historically and Grammatically
bring the words of the Bible together without controversy and/
or contradictions.

about poems, those are factual, literal explanations of things
