An early Christmas surprise
Bunny walked into the Computer room. “Want to see the lights?” she asked as
she was opening up a package.
“Is that a remote-controlled outlet?”
“Yes it is.”
“Cool. Let's see the lights.” We walked out to look at the lights splayed
across the front of Chez Boca. “Nice.”
“I just need to plug this in,” said Bunny. She stepped around the
bougainvillea bush [1] and plugged the device into the outside outlet. It
made a large buzzing noise, sparked, a large pop, and then it burst into
flames.
“It's not supposed to do that, is it?”
“No.”
“I think you need to get your money back.”
“Most definitely.”
