Be very very quiet … I'm hunting bugs
I now know what the bug is [1], and I want to confirm it. But it knows I know
and thus it is hiding, taunting me. And the second I stop paying attention—I
awake to a dead program!

Gotcha! And yes, it's exactly what I thought—a race condition. But catching
and verifying is one thing. Fixing it—that's another issue altogether.
