Composites and annotations
I came across these photos [1] (via lemonodor [2]) and little did I realize
that there's a whole Flickr [3] community devoted to such “composite photos
[4]” (well, maybe “community” is too strong a word here—more like a group of
people who tag such work with “composite”).
Reminds me of the one I did [5].
Another interesting feature of Flickr is the annotations one can add [6],
although it's done through Flash. Surely, I thought, there must be a way to
do that through CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and maybe some Javascript. So
last night (well, technically this morning) I played around a bit. Yes there
is a way [7], I thought. And I need to stop calling myself Shirly.
It's not perfect [8], but as a “proof-of-concept” it's not bad.
